If I'm not mistaken, the US folks can enter through VolksUSA, We Love Dolls, & Kerbey Lane... and while Volks prevents anyone from winning more than 1 of any item, does entering in all three places actually increase your chance of winning? My understanding is that people who win through WLD are then cancelled from the VolksUSA lottery, but if they lose through WLD, their VolksUSA entries are not automatically cancelled?

It does increase your chances, as you get 3 separate entries--but even if you win 3 times, you can only keep one. I've never entered at We Love Dolls, but I'm assuming they work the same way as KL--you get to chose which place you want to actually win at.

I really like the Crino mdd, but I'm gutted about the outfit she comes with, for me its a deal breaker? The outfit which they are selling separately should be the one included with the doll in my opinion because it's closer to her original design I think. The new mdd body is curious though, I love the mdd size but the old body just killed it for me, I couldn't do anything with her.

 

Sakuya looks really nice and I wish I could buy her, but I've only just got back into the hobby and I don't have any money saved back so I probably won't be able to bring her or anyone else home this time round.

Previously, they did not sell anything more than the vinyl skin separately, and you could only get the internal pieces by buying a full body. With the current problems, don't you think that would be even more frustrating? If a shoulder joint cracked, you'd need to buy the entire body again!

For now, I think this is the best course of action all around. And besides, the pieces keep getting updated, so this also gives them an easier way to distribute the new parts. New products always have kinks that don't show themselves until they are mass produced, after all.

I wish they'd make the DDS pieces equate to roughly the cost of the other DD bodies then ><

Since cost of DDS by buying parts is around 340, wayyy more than the other ones OTL

We probably already have too many daughters, with ones on the way even... But I really want Rise. I fell in love with her head sculpt. I haven't played the game or watched the anime, so I know nothing about her character, but it doesn't matter. I want to turn her into a character I've been writing about in stories for years, so she'll have a different wig and different eyes. The head sculpt is just perfect for that.

 

The only thing that sucks is I only get one shot, Volks International. The US versions will arrive too late to receive, since I'll be moving, so VolksUSA (or Kerbey Lane) wouldn't be willing to ship them to them. If Volks International can't get Rise to me by the end of July, or I lose the lottery, I guess I'll be stuck trying to get her on the aftermarket/Mandarake.

I think I'm going to enter this time for Rise, though it'll be my first ever volks lottery entry. Maybe I'll be lucky and be able to bring her home, she would be my first ever limited sculpt.

Kerbey lane is already taking orders but just for Rise and Jun Tachibana SD. I went ahead and put in for Rise even though I am not sure about her....becuase I always change my mind and I dont want to pay the inflated prices later. You can only enter for Sakuya through Volks USA which I will do!

I've so far had good luck with VolksUSA related lotteries. The only one I've lost is when I tried to get a Lucy, but it seems like she was in high demand AND I don't think Volks made as many.

 

I've never entered with Volks International before. No idea what the chances of winning are. I hope it's good. Thanks to yen exchange rate + shipping, Rise will cost over $100 more that way, but that's still better than after market prices will be.

I entered for Rise too, so excited! Kind of bummed that Sakuya isn't at KL but honestly I couldn't afford both of them anyway... but would have entered for both as SirNarwhal and I have NO self-control. ^^;

volksUSA only does an authorization hold, and it's usually gone after a day or so. They don't charge you until a couple days after you win.

We Love Dolls is also accepting "Wishlist" for Rise and Jun only... no Sakuya. I did enter through WLD, although I don't have very high hopes given that I didn't see the e-mail until 12 hours after it had gone out.

When did they send out the letter? I'm asking because I sent them a wish list, which they accepted, on the 22nd. It would be my first time going through them for a lottery which is why I sent it to them so early (I didn't want to miss an application deadline).

I really really really feel the same way XD ! I'll have two people other than me enter for her through international volks, and it would suck if none of us win one ;w; !

I thought Kerbey Lane upped the down payment due to so many cancellations and what not.....I think if Volks wanted people to enter through them they wouldnt even let KL do this sort of thing...especially now they are letting them do pre-orders. I think Volks is really trying to help everyone out.

This was my understanding, too. I really think the issue with Millhi & Sakuya is either quantity-related or license-related.
