Is paying Volks via PayPal more expensive than using Cards?

I would say maybe. Paypal asks for 2.5%, which is comparable to the 2-3% fees a credit card would charge you. If you have a Capital One issued credit card, they don't add any fees beyond the standard 1% Visa/MC requires; so it's always cheaper. There are a few other considerations:

 

• If you're worried about getting your account temporarily flagged for "unusual behavior" because of a foreign transaction, Paypal is quicker. You may still get flagged for the high value of the transaction though. You can usually avoid getting flagged at all by sending a secure message to your bank (usually a form you can fill after you log into your account online) or by calling the number on your card.
  
• If you use your card directly for foreign transactions, you may get lucky and not actually get billed for the amount for 1-3 weeks. If you use Paypal, the transaction always posts immediately.
  
• Paypal is generally more expensive for Volks to receive. That matters to me because I want them to keep more of the money I pay them.

I think Rise's popularity has overshadowed Sakuya initially, but I think Sakuya has the potential to become a very popular dd, sought after and very valuable. I think down the line she could become a really sought after girl.

I agree. Sakuya is I think somewhat overlooked right now compared to scene-stealer Rise. Sakuya's quantities I imagine are tighter than usual, hinted by the no-dealer thing. A deadly combination to be sure...

I just won and paid for Sakuya. I am so glad to have gotten her on my first International Lottery. Congrats to everyone who is able to bring a girl home. Big (((hugs))) to all who did not get an email, I know that totally sucks.

It's a possibilty, there are less Sakuyas on yahoo auctions than Rises atm.

I always take first impression as the most deciding factor, and Sakuya definitely blew me away with first sight. I feel alot of people wanted Sakuya, then switch to Rise along with the hype and lottery misery. Rise to me is just taking SD look into the DD line, which I think is good but not really what drew me to the DD line in the first place.

Just depends on your credit card. My credit card is 3% foreign transaction fee. Paypal is 2.5%. However, my bank gives me 1% back for all purchases on my credit card. So technically my credit card is cheaper.

 

I just use Paypal sometimes because my bank has an extremely finicky fraud detection system for their credit cards and half the time when I buy stuff overseas the bank temporarily puts a block on my card and I have to call them to take it off because it was a legit transaction of mine. Oh, and my bank isn't in my time zone, so I only have limited hours per day I can call them. Sometimes I want to save money, but sometimes it isn't worth the hassle.

I'll admit, I like Sakuya's face a great deal. I hope I don't regret passing her up too badly.

Because i ordered too and wanted to pay, but volks didnt take thr money for this moment. They take it when "they want" ... Arg hard to explain. Hope you guys know what i mean???

Did you use a credit card? They probably won't charge the amount to the card until they are ready to ship out your doll. So just make sure that you have that amount available on your card until then.
