Tokyo Dolpa 27

Previously, they did not sell anything more than the vinyl skin separately, and you could only get the internal pieces by buying a full body. With the current problems, don't you think that would be even more frustrating? If a shoulder joint cracked, you'd need to buy the entire body again!

For now, I think this is the best course of action all around. And besides, the pieces keep getting updated, so this also gives them an easier way to distribute the new parts. New products always have kinks that don't show themselves until they are mass produced, after all.

After this photo her eyes qualify to change at once. Maybe just other animetics, but with darker pupils.

THIS exactly. These new pics make her nose look 2 feet wide. Maybe she got in a fight and had her nose broken? And those nostrils look like they are flaring in anger.

 

I'm not knocking anyone who likes her tho. These girls are all about aesthetics so to each his/her own. Rise just isn't for me at all and these new pics confirm it bigtime.

Ayaaa, there is no way I could ever afford both Rise and Sakura ._. this dolpa will be a hard decision.

I don't know. With this face and without dark or even black pupils she still looks strange...

I love how glossy her lips look!

Argh, so torn! I have money for Rise, but I found my *almost* dream doll second hand and am totally paranoid that she'll get sold if I don't jump on the offer now. I don't go back to work until the beginning of May either. And the fact that it isn't guaranteed that I'd win Rise sucks!

 

Decisions

I really love Rise Unfortunately, I think I am sitting this dolpa out as I have exceeded my hobby budget so I am on a dolly diet until further notice.

OH man Rise . So pretty and different . It's kind of cool that she's the love-hate mold while Sakuya/Maxima is the general crowd pleaser. Smart Volks is Smart . Something for everyone!

Wow, Rise is really cute! She looks so SD-like, I bet she would be absolutely stunning in a nice pair of urethane eyes. (for those of you who aren't familiar with urethanes, they have wonderful depth and capture the light very well, and tend to "follow" you. But like glass eyes, they are rather hit-or-miss in the average DD)

 

Maxima is my favorite, though I'm not familiar with her character . . . currently attempting to talk myself out of trying to do a split for her head.

I will enter for Maxima! This will be the fiirst time going for the lottery. I don't even have my Sabers yet, I was hoping to get them first and trying not to buy until they arrive, but I like her dark hair and dark eyes very much.

I think Rise is very beautiful, but she does not make me think of DD when I look at her. She is very unique and pretty though, so I hope everyone who wants her gets her.

I did mention the possibility of modding rise's nose ( and I think we might see that on YJA's custom heads XD )

I think it's because her nostrils are more detailed then the other DD's because if her nostrils weren't like that. She would be pretty awesome. She is still cute though.

Hmmm....I still can't look at those eyes....I will wait for owners pics to see if I like her with different eyes.

thanks for sharing the links, the close ups of Rise makes me want her as soon as possible! The idea of not winning her might kill me ;_;' 7 girls yet this is gonna be my first DD lottery experience.

I don't see anything that says that. It appears as though they just haven't announced anything about the After Event yet, so nothing about it is written on Cirno's page. For what it's worth, nothing is written about it on Sakuya's page, either.

But where are the glasses of Rise?

Can someone please translate this? I hope they won't sell them alone!!
