anonymous_object Posted July 26, 2012 I was going to recommend junkyspot-http://junkyspot.com but they are sold out now as well. Those bodies go fast! Ah, too bad they are also sold out. Thanks for the link though. I'll just keep an eye on the sites for restocks.
waha Posted July 26, 2012 Generally Parabox has been fast at restocking. Before when the P40 body was sold out they restocked it within 3 weeks.
Tieren Posted July 30, 2012 I've browsed parabox.jp a few times over the last few months and this is the first time I've seen all of their 40cm listed as sold out.
anonymous_object Posted July 31, 2012 The parabox 40cm white skin bodies are in stock now. I just ordered one ^^
Janeway Posted August 17, 2012 I wonder if a number 4 head would look good on the obitsu 40cm body?
anonymous_object Posted August 17, 2012 It might look a tad large but probably just fine. I mounted a DDH-06 head on my p40 and I think it looks just fine. The head to body proportions are definitely different than a DDH on a DD body, but it still looks good ^^ More of a chibi/moe look

anonymous_object Posted October 18, 2012 Does anyone know where to find Parabox to DD neck adaptors? I haven't found any on YJA.

Mahoro Posted October 18, 2012 get the 2nd link ones from grayforce...the other ones snap really easily.
anonymous_object Posted October 18, 2012 Thanks guys!
waha Posted October 18, 2012 Yes, don't buy the cheap adapters by noemitoalice. I bought 4 thinking they would be as good as Grayforce's, but they don't really work at all. They snap, and well.. the construction is flawed. :/
SisterKyoya Posted October 19, 2012 How do the neck adapters work in comparison to using the longer screw trick with the Obitsu joint the bodies come with? So far for Tamayuki's new body the screw has worked just fine and he can move his head around a lot more than on the MDD body. He can actually tilt his head to the side! Pikangie Posted October 30, 2012 I'm not sure about 40cm, but I bought the 45cm boy body for my DD-06, and it fits without needing any custom neck piece. Though I must say that you probably will have to cut part of the head's hole for it to fit better, and not be so stiff(It's really easy with exacto knife, just don't cut too much). This way it can tilt and such, and be less risky of the screw popping out. I do definitely encourage a longer screw if possible, for the best safety, but mine's been alright with the default screw. For the skintone, the DD head is "normal" and the Obitsu body is "white", it's not an exact match, but it's close, and under my room's lighting nearly indistinguishable. It probably would be easy to simply do a blend paint job on the neck to match the head(or vice versa), though.
Banders Posted December 11, 2012 Does anybody have an SQLabs head on an Obitsu 40 body, that they'd care to spam?~<3 I'm wondering if SQLab's White Skin would be the better match? battrastard Posted December 12, 2012 Does anybody have an SQLabs head on an Obitsu 40 body, that they'd care to spam?~<3 I'm wondering if SQLab's White Skin would be the better match? I'd be interested also, seeing as SQLabs heads are a just little bit small for a DD body. (Tana is on a DDII, I shudder to think how small her head would be on a Dy!! ) And, I think she'd be very cute on a 40!!! Any opinions?? "Madness takes it's toll, Please have exact change!" marisa_doll Posted December 13, 2012 I had a picture of my SQ-Lab on the 40cm body a long time ago... but it's on a hard-drive I left at home . My Hibiki is now on a MDDIII body. Size-wise I think they are pretty similar, but the 40 is slightly taller and wider. I think I the MDD looks better for my SQ-Lab. Comparing colour I have some pic that is still on my flickr: This is on MDD -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/55234244@N08/8026972698/in/photostream This is on Parabox 40cm -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/55234244@N08/7170611968/in/photostream From these pics the colour match looks pretty similar. However, I found that under real light the P40 was more noticeably different, and the MDD wasn't noticeable at all. I noted some people were talking about a longer screw trick. This is what I did back in May, rather than buy an adaptor. I went to the hardware store and looked for a longer screw that could fit the thread of the Obitsu neck piece. With a bit of re-arrangement of the mechanism it worked pretty well. I had to sand the side of the peg for the MDDIII body though, as it couldn't quite fit through the neck hole. And as a general comment on the 40 vs MDD... because the 40 has wider hips, some shorts/skirts/dresses were harder to fit on. There was one pair of shorts that wouldn't button up on the P40 at all, but fit perfectly on the MDD. My SQ Hibiki I am putting up for adoption a SQ-Lab Ren head on flickr. Misheru Posted December 15, 2012 Why bother with adapters or cutting holes? Just use the regular Obitsu neck knob for the DD or SQ head. All you have to do is take it apart by unscrewing it. The older ones work better than the newer ones, but either are fine. All of our hybrids have regular neck knobs. ~ ❥ Misheru...the *M* in H&M House of Vinyl ❥ ~ ℒℴѵℯ❤ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒) ˚₊✩‧ All your dolliehs are belong to us! ✩‧₊˚ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒)

The older ones work better than the newer ones, but either are fine. All of our hybrids have regular neck knobs. Ease of use I guess? An adapter will give you a similar neck piece to what a Volks body has. Makes it easier if you have to remove the head. Before when I used the Obitsu neck piece and wanted to remove the head it'd come apart inside the head since the piece sat so firmly on the body. Added the annoying step of having to remove the wig/headcap and rescrewing the adapter. Personally I buy adapters due to the increased neck movement they offer. Same reason I replace my default DD neck joints with custom ones.

Ozaki Posted December 22, 2012 Thank you so much for all the info and comparison pictures. I want the Obitsu40cm body but it comes with the Alice head in Junkyspot and I don't want that head at all. I think I'll just wait for restocking from Parabox.
charmyc Posted January 28, 2013 the comparison are great =o I had an issue with the knee part of the Obitsu but I think I will go with them when I decide to get a smaller vinyl kid.

I want the Obitsu40cm body but it comes with the Alice head in Junkyspot and I don't want that head at all. I think I'll just wait for restocking from Parabox. I actually bought my 40cm body less than a week ago off the Parabox international/english site, and when I compared the total price (with shipping, paypal fee, and tax), the Parabox website actually turned out to be much cheaper than Junkyspot. I think it has to do with the percentage discounts that Parabox gives. Pretty good marketing strategy by Parabox, since this prompted me to go ahead and buy a pair of shoes and a Ryu head(for my other doll) along with the body. xD Only down-side is that the shipping will take longer. That's not too important to me, though, since the SQ Lab head I bought will probably take much longer.
