All you have to do is take it apart by unscrewing it. The older ones work better than the newer ones, but either are fine. All of our hybrids have regular neck knobs. Ease of use I guess? An adapter will give you a similar neck piece to what a Volks body has. Makes it easier if you have to remove the head. Before when I used the Obitsu neck piece and wanted to remove the head it'd come apart inside the head since the piece sat so firmly on the body. Added the annoying step of having to remove the wig/headcap and rescrewing the adapter. Personally I buy adapters due to the increased neck movement they offer. Same reason I replace my default DD neck joints with custom ones. Ahhh, that makes a lot of sense. Good point! It does get annoying when I choose to change or move a head. Perhaps I should look into finding a couple of adapters. ~ ❥ Misheru...the *M* in H&M House of Vinyl ❥ ~ ℒℴѵℯ❤ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒) ˚₊✩‧ All your dolliehs are belong to us! ✩‧₊˚ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒)

And wouldn't be easier to remove the head since it kinda functions lie the dd neck piece with the longer screw.

Like said earlier, a longer screw does work, but you still won't get the same kind of head mobility as you get with a replacement neck piece. To mount a head with the default Obitsu neck joint (and a longer screw) you still also have to remove the head cap (to attach the top part of it). Which brings you to the next problem: Sometimes the Obitsu neck joint is really difficult to pull up from the body, so if you try to pull off the head you'll most likely just pull the default neck joint apart, and have to remove the head cap again to put it together. All in all, I think 1500y for a proper replacement joint is just a saner investment.

aeris Posted March 21, 2013 bump this thread because I have heard some bad stories about MDDIII. So I would like to know what are the advantages / inconveniences of obitsu 40 VS MDDIII bodies? Do you have some pictures to compare them please? Thank you in advance Home : Hitomi, Kaori, Lily, Natsuki, Kotori, Yui, Kagami, Aï, Maya, Hana

I can't really compare though because I have acquired one old MDD body recently and never used it.
