RaveOfNightmares Posted April 9, 2012 Hello, I'm new to this board, although I have lurked about reading threads on a couple occasions, usually checking out info on 1/3 scale objects for my soon to be 17 DDs to play with. I started collecting DDs after a fateful encounter with the Akihabara Volks Showroom's display Akiyama Mio. After some research into the methods that Volks uses to release them, I lurked about on Ebay for about 6 months in search of an unopened Mio for sale. Not just any unopened Mio though, as the requirement that I placed on myself for this was that the seller must A: be a verifiable seller in Japan, and therefore not a shifty knock-off seller, and B: that I must recognize the seller or have purchased something from said seller before. 6 months of searching, and dealing with an $1800 price tag, followed by another few weeks waiting for the mail, and finally my first DD arrived in February 2011. Out of all of my DDs, Mio is one of the small few who retains her original name and to this day is my favorite. Mio recently "acquired" a new body, by stealing Haruka's new DDIIIDy body the day after she arrived. I'm generally quiet, yet semi-friendly, and I hate drama. I enjoy photography, and am teaching myself while I wait for some medical stuff to determine my fate in the US Navy. I hope to go to school for photography once all this stuff is settled. 21 DD girls: Mio, Marina, Yui, Yoko, Nia, Lily, Arisu, Akina, Momo, Arisa, Yukina, Ayaka, Niimi, Eri, Millefeuille, Ekisu, Chitose, Miyabi, KOS-MOS v.4, Hatsune Miku and God Eater Alisa. 2B in a hopeful future. Amber Posted April 9, 2012 Welcome to the forums. Interesting story about your Mio, but it's great that you got her under the requirements that you wanted!
