Hello from Jezrah

Hey everyone

 

My name is Jezrah and I have been lurking about this forum for a bit. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. Although I know there are resin owners around the local community doesn't seem too organized so I'm mostly on my own. Everyone here seems so nice and I like the fun games you make up in threads.

 

I discovered the world of Dollfie Dreams about a year and a half ago from where else, Danny Choo. My husband said there was no way I could have such an expensive doll, but when he got heavily back into Magic cards I argued that he was spending that much on his hobby, so why couldn't I on mine? He finally caved and I adopted my first daughter, a hdd-03 on a dddy body with face up by me. Her name is Ayano ( 綾乃) which means "my design" teehee.

 

Several months later I saw the announcement for dds Akira and I fell in love. Husband let me enter the lottery for her, and I eagerly awaited news. But the supposed date of being informed of winning came and went and I heard no word. So as a consolation prize I talked husband into letting me adopt an mdd with a hdd-01. I did her face up and called her Mitsuki ( 美月) meaning beautiful moon.

 

About a week later, I was sent an email from VolksUSA that I had indeed won Akira, I don't know why the announcement came so much later than they said it would. Husband was a bit miffed but since Akira wouldn't show up til around November he said she would be considered my Christmas present and let it go.

 

Around January or so, I think, I noticed an unfamiliar head mold advertising eye types on VolksUSA and I went about finding out more about it. A quick Google search brought me to Archangeli's blog where it said that the head had been released in Japan as a regular option head and it would release here soon. So long story short, that HDD-06 has been nabbed and belongs to my fourth daughter, Kotone (琴音) meaning harp sound. She unfortunately doesn't have her own body yet, so she borrows Akira's and Ayano's from time to time. But when they are restocked she will get a medium bust DDII body I think.

 

So that's my current at home family and I of course have both Sabers on the way since Danny's Saber is what brought me to this hobby to begin with.

For a long time I'm thinking that Danny Choo probably got his first DD from Volks

marketing department and it was secretly plotted to spread the ""DDisease"

Haha that wouldn't be surprising seeing as he has so much free stuff thrown at him that he gives it away

Welcome aboard! You have some beautiful girls! Kotone is REALLY nice in her Sekirei cosplay!

 

And it was also so cool to see your pics of Haleakula! I've been right where your girls had their pics taken! Your MDD 01 girl is too adorable, we need more pictures of her!
