Broken Doll :(

Recommended Posts

Loda

Hej

i got a new girl yesterday and was really happy about it but when i opened the package her spin that holds her bust and her lower body together was broken. You can see that it was glued several times and that the spin sticks in her bust.

The person who sold me the doll said that she didn't know anything about it (somehow i don't believe her). So i can't give her back the doll or become any money.

Will send you pictures of the broken doll in a few hours. Maybe someone knows what to do.

Thank you!

Loda

Which type of body does the doll have?

It could be possible to buy a new torso part for it.

It's a type II body in white skin. Where can I get that part for her?

You can't, because there aren't internal spare parts available for type II body.

You have to fix it and I think on our forum there are knowledgeable people who will help.

But it's doable - You can see here fixing broken DD spine using epoxy and a steel bolt - http://gourb.bangofan.com/Entry/37/

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the frames for sale on the international site, at least not for DD, only DDS. orz

But I suggest you mail VOLKS and ask them if there's anyway for you to buy the spare part you need.

Doll companies, in my opinion, are usually very nice when it comes to answering the customers' questions and such.

Imo very unlikely.

I don't remember that anyone could buy internal parts for DD II at Volks. Even once.

Everyone always said, that when something breaks, You can either fix it by yourself or buy a new body.

Even neck parts You can buy only from other makers (like Coolcat).

This sounds EXACTLY like what I just fixed for someone else here on the boards. This also happened to my DDdy girl Manami and I was able to repair her as well as this new girl.

I took pics of the repair process and will post them here tonight in a new post. Maybe that way you can repair the DDII WS body properly.

I'll do that post as soon as I get home tonight from work!

Thank's a lot to all of you. I will try to pull the broken piece out of her bust and glue it together or something like that.

Be VERY careful pulling the two pieces out of the upper torso! If you yank on them too hard, you can break them. I used small needle nosed pliers to do it on the Fate DD I repaired. Don't lose those two pieces because you HAVE to have them to repair your girl.

And regular glue will NOT work there. You need a plastic weld epoxy to make the joint strong. I have pics of what you need to buy as well as how to mix and apply it in the post I am making tonight. I'd say to wait until you read this post until trying to take those pieces out and repair her.

I will be sure to post this tonight for you and everyone else to see.
