MaxArcher Posted March 25, 2011 I didn't see a thread like this yet. How about showing off where your dolls live? Displays, rooms, cases, or whatever. I've got a new setup that's not quite ready to show off yet, so let's see everybody's in the meantime! DD Beatrice - DD Saber/EXTRA
mitsuki Posted March 25, 2011 That sounds like a nice idea! This is an older photo. Some girls have different eyes or hair now but the setup is still the same.
baldylox Posted March 25, 2011 Good idea for a post! I'm at work right now ( shhh! ) so when I get home later I'll get some pics up. I want to cry every time I see that picture from Mitsuki. Sooooo many girls all in one place! You'd think it was a Volks store! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
jun97 Posted March 25, 2011 Wow, Mitsuki, that is amazing! I can see how that would bring Baldylox to tears
mitsuki Posted March 25, 2011 Thank you, guys! I am glad you like them. I love seeing them everyday, so I hate traveling.
baldylox Posted March 25, 2011 Can you imagine Mitsukis display if she were anywhere near an earthquake zone?? I would hate the thought of having ANY of those taking a dive in a quake. It would be like an awful domino effect. Luckily she's in a relatively quake free zone. All she has to worry about is snow collapsing her roof in. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
mitsuki Posted March 25, 2011 Being away from natural disaster prone areas is a major reason I live in the frozen wasteland of Minnesota. No tsunamis, no hurricanes, no earthquakes...
Galvatim Posted March 26, 2011 Mitsuki, you have an excellent Dollfie family! Here is my girls' hang out, complete with the first (still pre face-up) appearence of Aya. 028 by galvatim, on Flickr
mitsuki Posted March 26, 2011 Thank you, Galvatim. Your family is so cute. Louise is so adorable. I can't wait to see Aya when she is finished.
Halcyon Posted March 26, 2011 That sounds like a nice idea! This is an older photo. Some girls have different eyes or hair now but the setup is still the same. Your family is so big, Mitsuki! It's probably going to take 20 years for my family to get that big! And, those husky pups are so cute! Mitsuki, you have an excellent Dollfie family! Here is my girls' hang out, complete with the first (still pre face-up) appearence of Aya. What a lovely group of DDs (Aoi sitting in the middle, eh?)! And, those figures! That's quite a large army of figures you have there, Galvatim! DD 娘 - Dollfie Dream® Daughters {1} : DDS [ユ-ピィ] - Euphie
mitsuki Posted March 26, 2011 After six years, I have adopted quite a lot of daughters. I really like the husky pups too. They are a lot easier to take care of than the real husky I know.

Galvatim Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) What a lovely group of DDs (Aoi sitting in the middle, eh?)! And, those figures! That's quite a large army of figures you have there, Galvatim! Thanks, Halcyon! Mari and Aya tend to fight over who gets to sit next to Aoi (even if they both do) so Yui decided to split them up! I've been addicted to buying figures for a long time... That's about 1% of my collection... Edited March 26, 2011 by Guest
jun97 Posted March 26, 2011 Nice picture Galvatim. Aoi sitting in the middle is how it should be They also look bigger when next to all those figures.
scripple Posted March 26, 2011 Wow Mitsuki that's a lot of DDs. Very nice collection. So how many DDs would represent a complete collection of all released models (not including the OOAK ones), anyone know? Very nice group you have as well Galvatim. And amazing if that's only 1% of your figure collection. How long does it take to dust at your place? Check out my new DollFun website. Share your own doll photos with free image hosting. Galvatim Posted March 26, 2011 Nice picture Galvatim. Aoi sitting in the middle is how it should be They also look bigger when next to all those figures. Thanks! Yes, the girls like making Aoi sandwiches! I'm glad that those temporarily homeless figmas can do something worthwhile til I can a better home for them. So how many DDs would represent a complete collection of all released models (not including the OOAK ones), anyone know? I know there are about 60 head sculpts right now. Some of them are used for more than one DD though, like Rei/Aoi/DDH-02, or Saber and Saber Alter. I'd say around 70 or 80! Very nice group you have as well Galvatim. And amazing if that's only 1% of your figure collection. How long does it take to dust at your place? Thanks! Most of my figures are boxed up, but it still takes a while... I usaully start in one corner and work my way around the room over a week or so.

I also think Galvatim has an impressive figure collection. Looking at Volks' site, there are 62 DD and DDdy characters counting Beatrice, the finished DDH-04 heads, DDH-02 and 03 released at the last DD Gathering, and the DD Compilation DDH-01. If you count Neris and Airy, then it is 64. There are 13 MDD characters counting Kudo. There are 2 DDS characters. Not counting the Super Dollfie Dream one-offs and the 7 DD one-offs from Tokyo 24, there are about 79 characters total for the complete collection. I am sure I could have missed some, but that's a lot of DDs.

baldylox Posted March 28, 2011 Well, took me long enuff! Here is where my girls hang out. That is my dresser in my bedroom. They feel better being close to me so I let them setup their "living room" in there. Here's Mai in her chair: Manami and Rei in their kimonos on the couch: Yoko in her chair. Sorry for the mess under the table, I have not cleaned up from the doll meet yet. And finally Miyuki on her lounging chair. And yes, thats a fish tank behind her. If I adopt any more girls, I have NO CLUE where they will hang out! They'll prolly make me use the guest bedroom and just take over my room altogether.... Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I had thought about that taller dresser but I moved the TV out that was where Miyuki is now. i wanted the girls on a level arae and not different heights. But *if* I get anymore, that will have to change due to lack of space. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. mitsuki Posted April 3, 2011 omg mitsuki how you get all these dolls ? you must be rich or have a payslave i have only one doll so no display. @ baldylox, the chairs are great your girls love it comfortable right I got them here and there over 6 years. Quite a few were orphans with minor fixable problems like broken neck joints or loose knee joints. One had a screw rolling around inside, so I took her apart and removed it. There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary with the body. I don't know where the screw came from. Some people also leave the hobby and put their daughters up for adoption for reasonable prices. Things have changed a lot over the 6 years. Now I tend to only get DDs from Volks USA if I can't resist a new limited girl.
Claudia Posted April 3, 2011 wow than you had tonns of luck... i never will get a doll under 400 Euros ..... doensßt matter if brocken or not there to rare here
mitsuki Posted April 3, 2011 It must be very hard to get DDs in Germany. If you find something you want to buy from the U.S. and the seller won't ship to you, let me know. Things aren't as easy as it was before Danny made DDs so popular. Now people will buy a DD off the secondary market and later want to sell for what they paid. There are DDs for sale here and there on Flickr, but often the sellers want quite a bit for limited DDs. I used to be able to find DDs on Ebay for cheaper than even their original price, especially if they are not in perfect condition.
