baldylox Posted April 22, 2012 Somehow I totally forgot to post these pictures of Mashiro visiting my parents here! About a month ago, I had to go to my parents place and help my Dad with some stuff. Since I knew the flowers there were blooming, I wanted to take someone along and snap some pics. But who to choose? Since Mashiro hadn't gotten too much time in front of the camera, i decided to take her along. Plus, she needed to get out more and enjoy the outdoors. My parents have a big place and loads of flowers. So Mashiro was really having fun checking everything out. Here, she finds an azalea that matches the prints on her underskirt almost perfectly. DSC_5222 by balldylox, on Flickr I think she likes the delicate pink of these flowers... DSC_5224 by balldylox, on Flickr But right around the corner were some super bright pink ones! DSC_5225 by balldylox, on Flickr She was having fun hiding in there... DSC_5226 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5227 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5228 by balldylox, on Flickr Across the yard were some really big camiellias. Unfortunately they had already bloomed and the flowers were dropping off the bush. Mashiro still found these fallen blooms pretty. DSC_5229 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5230 by balldylox, on Flickr "Look at all the purple ones!" DSC_5231 by balldylox, on Flickr I can't recall waht kind of flowers these are but Mashiro liked their size and color. DSC_5232 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5233 by balldylox, on Flickr "Papa, what are these white flowers called?" DSC_5234 by balldylox, on Flickr Those are from a dogwood tree Mashiro. "Dogwood? That's so silly! Why wouuld they call it that?" Listen.... can't you hear it barking? "Umm.. no? Stop being so goofy Papa!" DSC_5235 by balldylox, on Flickr Mashiro in a sea of dogwood blooms. DSC_5239 by balldylox, on Flickr "Oooo! Pretty berries! Can we eat some?" NO! Those are from a holly bush, they taste terrible and may make you sick. "But they look so GOOD!" DSC_5240 by balldylox, on Flickr Down the driveway we found more azaleas with some really bright colors to them. DSC_5242 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5243 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5244 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5253 by balldylox, on Flickr After this, Mashiro decided she wanted to climb a tree. I didn't know foxes liked that! DSC_5254 by balldylox, on Flickr This is a crape myrtle but it hadn't blossomed yet. But the bark on this one looks really cool so we took some shots with it. DSC_5256 by balldylox, on Flickr The sun was also filtering thru other trees and giving us some odd golden hues. I thought I'd get some artsy looking ones just for fun. Mashiro decided to play some hide and seek while I was doing this... DSC_5259 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5260 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5261 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5262 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5263 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5265 by balldylox, on Flickr It was beginning to get late so we started to head back to the house. Mashiro liked the nice blue sky and puffy white clouds. DSC_5267 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5271 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_5272 by balldylox, on Flickr Alright dear, time to head home so we can get supper ready. "Pick me up!" DSC_5275 by balldylox, on Flickr It looks like the mention of supper has gotten Mashiro all excited... "Hurry up Papa! Let's go!" DSC_5280 by balldylox, on Flickr Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
PrettyCranium Posted April 22, 2012 Great photos! Those flowers are stunning. I'm glad I'm seeing more Mashiro, but I wish it didn't make me want one of my own >_< I really liked the ones with the myrtle tree, that's a cool-looking tree.

I'm glad I'm seeing more Mashiro, but I wish it didn't make me want one of my own >_< I really liked the ones with the myrtle tree, that's a cool-looking tree. Thank you! My parents have always had flowers around as long as i can remember so I knew I could get some cool pics if I timed it right. I actually felt bad for ignoring Mashiro so much lately. That's why I chose her to come along. And I'm glad i did as she really had a blast and looked great too. I know it sucks for you to want one.... they aren't cheap by any means. But they *are* beautiful in person.... Those myrtle trees are really odd. The bark peels off them leaving those weird shapes on the trunks. And they bllom with bright red and pink flowers like a giant azalea, just with smaller blooms. Here's a post of Manami with the crape myrtle in bloom when she first visited my parents back in 2010: http://www.figure.fm/post/en/13849/Visiting+the+farm+for+the+first+time+Part+1.html Heh, poor girl. Back then she didn't have any shoes yet! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

scripple Posted April 22, 2012 Nice photos. Your parents have a cool place. Although I guess I'm not a big nature guy as my favorite was the one of her in the car seat. kymaera Posted April 22, 2012 Someone must have hacked Billy's account! There's no way he could have a DD up in a tree without a "low angle" shot Nice pictures. She looks really at home in the outdoors shots.
mitsuki Posted April 22, 2012 Those are such beautiful photos! There are so many lovely flowers. I heard that holly berries are bad to eat. It is good that you were there to tell Mashiro not to eat things that look good. hehe Mashiro is so adorable. I love the last shot of her in the car all buckled up. Poofiemus Posted April 22, 2012 Mashiro in a sea of dogwood blooms. DSC_5239 by balldylox, on Flickr Billy I particularly love this shot. In fact, since your Flikr made the high res accessible, I added it to my wallpaper pool. I like the kind of depth the up-close blossoms give it. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser. MyuMyu Posted April 22, 2012 I really love your pictures full of color and light! They are really lovely. Mashiro is one of my favorite DD girls - I don't own her, sadly - and it has been nice to see her with all the flowers around Your parents place is awesome! baldylox Posted April 22, 2012 Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh. *dies from a moeverdose* Heh, sorry about that. Maybe we can re-res you with the blood lost from others seeing this post? Very nice photos! Mashiro is so cute! Thank you very much! Nice photos. Your parents have a cool place. Although I guess I'm not a big nature guy as my favorite was the one of her in the car seat. Thank you. It was nice gowing up out there for sure. Plenty of land to run around on. I've always been the outdoors type but I can't blame you for liking that last pic, it's quite cute. Someone must have hacked Billy's account! There's no way he could have a DD up in a tree without a "low angle" shot Nice pictures. She looks really at home in the outdoors shots. Ha ha, sooo funny. Not ALL my girls allow me low angle shots. Thanks on the pics tho! Those are such beautiful photos! There are so many lovely flowers. I heard that holly berries are bad to eat. It is good that you were there to tell Mashiro not to eat things that look good. hehe Mashiro is so adorable. I love the last shot of her in the car all buckled up. Thank you very much! Holly berries are VERY bitter and can make you really sick. We had a kid eat a bunch of them on a hiking trip once and he was in rough shape for 2 days afterwards. I particularly love this shot. In fact, since your Flikr made the high res accessible, I added it to my wallpaper pool. I like the kind of depth the up-close blossoms give it. Thanks so much! That is one of my faves too, it has a feeling of movement as well as some nice depth. To get that shot, my Mom was holding the branch down to ground level and I held Mashiro in one hand so she wouldn't fall over while I lined up the camera for this with my free hand. Not easy to do but I was happy with the result. I really love your pictures full of color and light! They are really lovely. Mashiro is one of my favorite DD girls - I don't own her, sadly - and it has been nice to see her with all the flowers around Your parents place is awesome! Thank you very much! misskale Posted April 25, 2012 It looks like your guys' spring is going as well as ours is in VA. The azaleas and dogwoods are insane this year. I'm looking forward to the iris, crepe myrtle and rose o'sharon next.

The very last picture never fails to make me laugh. Thank you! I have to agree that Mashiro is indeed a cutie! She just makes me smile every time I look at her. Those eyes are gorgeous for sure, they look so deep sometimes... I find it funny that so many people like that shot of her in the car. It was a totally last minute thing and I figured it may be ok for a giggle. I guess this proves that sometimes the best shots aren't planned.
