Tomomi's first pictures

Recommended Posts

Hi~

In the pictures, I used Hana's body because Tomomi is the DD that arrived broken. I think I will need to buy a neckpiece for her and take out the legs parts to adjust the skeleton because one of her legs is very floppy. I'm scared of taking out the soft upper part of her legs because I never have done it before and I don't want to break her even more.

I feel a little sad because she didn't arrive in good condition as she came with a lot of stains too but I really hope to be able to fix her up.

She is wearing the wig and the eyes she came with. I like the eyecolor but I think that this kind of eyes look a little weird in a DD head.

As someone who has resin "realistic" style eyes in a DD I can tell you they do seem odd at first but can definitely grow on people. Especially a nice striking color like that which I think looks good on her. If you really like the color and sparkle I bet they grow on you. Perhaps if they were more centered instead of looking up they'd be more suitable for more poses.

As to fixing the legs, unless you hear a screw rattling around inside the leg there's nothing you can tighten inside the upper leg vinyl to make her hold poses better. (There is a peg that can come out, but you can fix that without removing the vinyl.) You can get at the knees (easily tightened) and hips (not really adjustable unless you want to build up glue or nail polish or something in the joint) without ever removing the upper leg vinyl. And it's one of the more annoying pieces of vinyl to get on and off so I'd recommend leaving it in place.

I think Tomomi looks really nice. I love those bright, shiny eyes of hers! Scripple is right that while you may not see many DD's with that style eyes, some of them look really good and will grow on you. I love his Yukino's eyes, they're stunning on her.

I think the wig looks nice too. It goes well with her eyes.

I hope you can get her body fixed up. I know how it is to get a girl who needs work, I've gotten a couple like that but I enjoy the challenge and I also like being able to give a girl a second chance at having a good life. So stick with it and make Tomomi like new so she can have fun with you!

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

[scriple] Thank you so much for your comment

I never had a DD with "realistic" eyes before so I see them odd but I think I could get used to them because I think that they really fit her. I will try to put them more centered to see the effect and them decide

Oh, I don't know much about fixing DDs because I never had any problem with them before. I think that the problem must be in the hip because the leg won't hold the pose, it falls down. Maybe I will try that nail polish thing in the joint.

[baldylox] Thank you very much! I'm glad to know you like Tomomi. I really want to take care of the doll this is why I didn't insist much complaining about her bad condition with the previous owner. I think that if I am able to get the best of her, it will feel good.

About the eyes, I really hope them to grow on me because I like a lot the color and the design but I see them too odd at this moment.
