nkei Posted May 10, 2012 Hi all~ I'm having some difficulties tightening a knee joint on a DDII body. I looked over some tutorials and managed to tighten one of the knees by just tightening the screw, but her other knee's screw will just not tighten! My brother and I hypothesized that it was because the hole became too enlarged, so the screw can't tighten the leg anymore. We tried using a filler, but it didn't work . The leg itself is completely loose, as in, if I grab her waist and shake her back and forth, that leg will swing back and forth with her . I'm a complete noob at fixing anything, and I don't even know if the nail polish method could be applied or not, since it's the knee joint (yeah I have no idea what I'm talking about LOL). Sorry for the wall of text but I hope there's a solution out there! If not, uhhh how much would a fairly good condition body like this be saleable for? She can still stand on her own with a bit of maneuvering (she's standing on my table right now) but since I'm a perfectionist, I either want to fix her completely or just buy a new body LOL. Kumi Posted May 10, 2012 IIRC in the knees there are screws going directly into plastic. If the plastic wears, there is probably only one method to repair this. You should replace the screw with a small bolt with nylon locking nut http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polymer_insert_nut Bolt of course should be longer than the screw, long enough to go through the whole knee. Of course, this requires to drill through the knee's plastic and making small modifications there but it shouldn't be a big problem. You should get the idea
