turning dollfie face-up to rare face-up of another dollfie?

it's like you'll be turning the face-up of an original dollfie dream and turn them into a face-up of another rare dollfie. It's like this, for example. I have a Yukino dollfie, is it possible to turn her into a rare Sasara Kusugawa dollfie face-up?

Simple answer is no. Unless the sculpt is similar it is very hard to get a dollfie to look like another dollfie. Yukino will not look like Sasara even if you give her a refaceup, you will have to change the entire sculpt.

No, Those 2 have different face molds as well as face-ups. I guess you could do it with the new Saber Extra and the original Saber since they do share the same mold. A few Limited DD's have the same face mold, mostly older ones. In some cases you might be able to get them to look close but in Sasara's case I can't think of any other molds similar to hers.

Sasara looks nothing like Yukino. Zero. And it has nothing to do with faceup.

Their head and eye shapes are completely different. Not to mention, that Yukino (DDH-03) has a very distinctive face.

How do You plan to change the shape of the eyes?

Because Marisa has open wide ones, while the other rather not.

I'm thinking, that maybe You should consider getting SQ-Lab head for this purpose.

SQ has many different sculpts available, including ones with narrow eyes, small lips etc.

And they're blank, so You can put any faceup You want.

This is kind of confusing for me, but I think I get it...

 

I have a Marisa, and I really don't think she is what you are looking for.

As Kumi asked, how are you going to change her eye shape? A new face-up alone won't be able to do that.

 

Also, as Kumi said, I would go with and SQ Labs head, since those look a lot like the character you want.

I think for some faceups it is possible, there's an Akira that Hikaru did up to look like a younger Yuki:

 

 

However, it's never going to be IDENTICAL and you do need a similar eye shape like everyone else has said. SQlab does has a ton of heads that look similar to other molds, so if you are absolutely desperate for a limited head there are always ways to get something similar.

Do you mean by making the eye lash shape, eyebrow shape, or the the color scheme of a limited dollfie and paint it on another? Because if that's the case then, I don't see that being impossible, but I don't think that it'll look like that certain dollfie unless the sculpts are the same.

How much would you like to spend on her? If cheap, a DDh by volks should fit. Otherwise, a SQlabs one.

Hm. Looking at the reference art you linked, you've got some options. Out of the Volks option heads, I'd say either an 02 or an 06, though I think an 02 with the eyeholes sanded a bit to be rounder is probably the better fit. SQ Labs has some other options though. Looking mainly at the face and lip shapes, Misty and Yukari seem like good matches to my eye. Hime could be cute too, if you want to maximize the pouting factor.

With those big eyes, this face shape, and this sad yet determined expression, I think ddh 3 would be the best choice.

With the 2 pictures that you posted, I would also suggest the 03 head. If you want to see what the 03 looks like without a faceup, I have plenty of pics of Tamayuki on my Flickr account. One thing I'd like to point out though is if you want the DD to have eyes exactly like the picture references, the eye holes will need to be enlarged. Other than that, I think the overall face, jaw, and mouth shape are really close to what you are looking for. Poor Tamayuki still doesn't have a faceup, but if you need to see another view of what the 03 looks like that isn't in the link above, just let me know. The one picture on Volks for the 03 is not very helpful, and trying to see past the faceups isn't always the easiest thing, especially if you haven't been around a long time (I've only been here since February!)

I've just been too busy to make an attempt at painting them before I can decide if it is worth my own time to do, or send them off to someone else I trust who can do an excellent job. We have one 03 head (Tamayuki) and two 01 heads (Rainie and my husband's Yuriko who is also a white skin.)

 

The standard 01-06 heads come unpainted so there is the option of painting the face yourself or sending it off to someone to do it for you (there are a few here on the forums that do an impressive job).

 

And just to let you know, Tamayuki is a boy.

What we're saying is, the 03 is really Yukino blank, so instead of paying for a Yukino with faceup only to wipe it, you may as well save the difference and get the 03 blank in the first place, and save a bit of money.
