How do I get stains out of silicone?

Recommended Posts

It seems that the Peach Pai I got for Manami can get stained even faster than regular vinyl. I put this top on Manami today for only about 30 minutes or so and she got small black stains on the back of her neck:

2 of the spots are small but one is larger and darker. I had this top on Yoko for almost a day and had NO stains from it. But only half an hour produced some stains on the Peach Pai silicone.

I tried Oxy10 on the front of her pai to get rid of some light yellow stains that were there when I got the Pai but it had no effect on those. So has anyone else had any issues with stains on Peach Pai? if so, how did you fix the problem? I'd really like to get these black stains gone even tho you can't see them under her hair. But it bugs me that she got damaged from this due to me not thinking the silicone could stain.... so I feel bad for her.

Any insight or help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Nightmare Tea

I've heard that you shouldn't leave it soaking in soapy water, because it absorbs it or something...

I'm not sure, though.

and I found this: http://www.figure.fm/post/en/25353/My+new+gal+Natsuki.html <---Read the first part of the comments the convo between Hololo and Chun. Hololo gives a few tips on how to care for Peach Pai and that you should never use the acne cream on it, it will actually damage the peach pai.

I hope those 2 links will help you out some. I hate to hear Manami's peach pai got stained. At least it can be hid with her hair, but I understand how you feel about knowing it's there and it bugging you.

Hopefully those tips I found might help some. ^_^

Okay, so the first link says to coat the bust in talc powder for a few days and the stains will go away in time. The second link says to use thinner on it. But I wonder what *kind* of thinner you need to use? I think I'll Flickr mail Hololo and ask him directly, maybe he can explain better.

Thanks for the links tho, at least it seems it's fixable. The yellow on the front may not go away tho since I did try the Oxy10 on that. I'll take the bust off her for now and cover it in talc for a few days and see how it goes from there.

I found this thread on another forum after a search

They say wash it and it will fade on its own.

(Please excuse the pervy naked doll on that thread.)

Thanks for the input! Those look like Realdolls.... I forgot about those. They said that the stains will go away on their own but I'm not sure if that silicone is the same as the Peach Pai stuff. So I'll go ask Hololo about it and see if he can help out.

I have a couple of Peach Pai as well, the stains do go away on their own. All I did was hand wash them with some mild dish soap and water, pat dry with paper towels, then gently rub on some talc powder. I don't keep the Peach Pai on my girls though because it's so dusty here.

Ahh nice! Thank you for the info! I'll be sure to go ahead and do as you said with it.

Now with the talc powder, does it have to be a specific type or can you use powdered cornstarch too? I'd like to know since I happen to have some of that here but no talc of any kind. I don't have any issues with dust here so Manami keeps her Pai on all the time. Hopefully that won't pose any issues.

In my experience the Peach Pai attract dust like a magnet if you don't put talc powder on them, and you can't just brush it off either. It also removes the slightly sticky feel of the silicone. Putting some on the inside should also make it easier to get on and off as well.

I had a light red stain once but it went away on its own.
