Short-Lived Theater Presents: Silly Hair

 

"Is this about right Mommy? Do I look cute enough for a picture?"

 

 

"Darn you silly hair. Gimmie a second Mommy, I need to fix it again."

 

 

"Clippie, you are not doing a very good job. I have to fix my hair at least fifteen times a day because you are being naughty."

 

 

"This is how my hair is not supposed to look because I can't see and I would crash into things. Besides, I don't want to be a pirate. Real ones are not cute."

 

 

"That's why I make my hair go SWOOSH, and then you can do your job by holding it in place Clippie, OK?"

 

 

"Tada! Now its all better!"

This is one of the very few photoshoots I've had time to do recently, and even then it has taken me two weeks to get it posted. Tamayuki and I struggle with his 'silly hair' a LOT. The fifteen times a day is not an exaggeration for some days. I've missed having enough time to even take a good look at the boards recently, but I have been able to at least 'spend time' with Tamayuki while working on his and Dolly's site for my web design class. Take a peak at The Small World of Tamayuki and Dolly if you feel like. I'm a bit of an overachiever in that class because I enjoy it so much and my page is a lot fancier than most (maybe all at this point?)

 

Not to sound like a dork, but I've missed you guys! I feel like so much is going on across the forums that all I've been able to do is read through the two tagging threads. So fun to see a bunch of DDs that are new to me, and I still feel like I get a bit of mental whiplash when I remember that Sprout isn't a MDD anymore. Although he wouldn't say it, I know that Tama-chan has been missing getting attention too. He does ask a lot where all the other boys are though, he's heard mention of them on here somewhere.

Clippie needs to start behaving otherwise a new Clippie might try to take over! Tamayuki is so adorable, really makes me want to have a boy MDD (Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura). Gotta keep telling myself that is for the future haha ^^;;; But when that happens he'll certainly join Tamayuki's Boys Only Club!

 

I'm glad that you're doing so well in your class! The website you've built looks really nice ;D I hope you'll have some downtime later so you can look through the boards some more!

Thank you for the wonderful comments. I also have the large issue of having to tell myself to wait on finding more DDs to add on my ever growing mental list. An idea for another one popped into my head last night. Needless to say, yelling "No, not any more for now!!" isn't working too well, but fortunately (unfortunately?) the funds just aren't there to allow me to go on a spending spree.

 

Downtime- is that what happens when I fall asleep before my head hits the pillow three hours after my bedtime?

Aside from "Clippie" there are a few other things that could work in a pinch....

 

I picked these up at a local "Fry's" grocery store, there ought to be something similar up where you are..

They're sold in sets of about eight, for less that $5 down here. Possibly, they might/should be at WalMart, or elsewhere for not much more....

(was looking for a decent comb for Tana when I saw these, plus a package of "clippies" that I picked up, too!)

Most things are made a lot cuter by adding 'ie' on the end, especially when Tamayuki says it in a serious voice.

The ones you have would be fine for our daughters, but too girly for Tamayuki (I know that probably sounds strange.) Ones like these are more what I'm looking for:

 

 

I hate to admit that I had the clippies on hand because I bought them for my own hair, all the other clips I can find are too big and fall out. This thinning hair thing really stinks.

Thank you! Although if Tamayuki heard the nice comments he would probably just shyly stare at his feet, but would be pleased nonetheless. I think one of the things I love about the DD is how much personality they have even without being 'finished.'
