Those are some BIG eyes. I think an 06 would work well here--the 03 has similarly large eyeholes but the cheeks are a little chubby for this project I think. In terms of limited heads Fate/Nanoha might be good... but I mean, why spend so much when you can just get an 06?

I think they are both good choices. Though 06 would be much easier and cheaper to obtain compare to Reimu's. I'm glad you're interested in Haruhi, she's such a great character!

Reimu does have a great mouth-shape for that character, but the 06 is just SO much cheaper ($42 versus $300+). The open-mouth picture also reminds me of the SQlab Akane: http://www.sqlabdolls.com/xe/index.php?mid=doll&dobleepent_srl=350

i rather choose reimu though, since haruhi is small and her body fits DDS, same as the second picture

I think you are misunderstanding Anouc; the "?!?" doesn't mean she is mad at you. I think she might say "degraded" to indicate the heads without indented eye holes, but instead the ones that are very smooth. Maybe so you could paint on eyes that would be big enough? Haruhi has very big eyes for her face!

sorry i am often misunderstood by many, since im a beginner im planning to buy a DD and somewhat I find it hard to obtain one though thats why i need help

One of the main problems with the internet is that it's text on a screen. You don't know how someone is meaning something to come across to you. Sometimes, I might say something and mean it in a really happy way but someone may read it as though I'm being horrible.

 

So one of the best ways to think of it is "to take it with a pinch of salt" (it's a saying and I'm not sure if you know of it where you live, but it basically means to not take is very personally as that may not be the way it was intended)

 

If you ask someone if they intended it in a nasty way and they answer you saying that they didn't mean it in that way, then there's nothing to be upset about. Don't worry if it takes you some time to get to grips with the forum, the way it works, the people and everything dollfie dream, it takes all of us a long time at the start. So you don't need to feel bad about asking lots of questions that's what these forum sections are here for after all.

 

A bit of advice that helped me when I was new to this stuff is:

 

Read it once, read it again, read it 1 more time, think about it for a few minutes. Then when replying, read what you wrote once, then again then 1 last time. It helps you to see if there might be a misunderstanding or can help you figure out what question you want to ask.

 

On topic for your OP though. As many have said, yes, a faceup CAN change the look of the doll BUT you can't easily change the way the face is shaped.

For some characters that volks don't make themselves it can be hard to find that perfect base face (as in blank head) to turn into the character you want and often you may have to settle for something that isn't accurate but pretty close.

 

How are you with art programs like photoshop? one thing I like doing is taking photos of blank heads into photoshop and painting on a faceup in the program. It helps to find the look you want or even to discover new ideas and it could help you find a good base head for your projects.

it's hard to meet people online. The internet can lie sometimes in my view point. Yeah I get your point in my OP but I'm not good at photoshop at all.
