Leekeworld wig event from DDE [New 03/13]

They're all sold out. No shiny wigs for me.

I got mine today and they are also all two-tone! Which is good, because I missed out on the event and was really regretting it. I got a shorter wig that is white/black, a medium-length gold/brown, and the twintailed wing in purple/blue.

I got mine today!

They're all two-toned, super adorable! I got an array of styles from short to long to sorta-wavy to twin tails!

I was hoping for a pink/blue two-toned one if anyone is interested in trading. :p

Last time there were mostly bi-colour wigs, that I personally dislike. With my bad luck, I'm sure I'd get something like 3 bi-colour wigs and a 4th one in a colour I hate lol

I scored some really nice two toned wigs, but I was honestly hoping for just the regular wigs.

 

The description sounds like it might be left over bi-colored wigs.

 

I love grab bags and being surprised so I couldn't pass it up That and I almost just bought ONE wig for $48

DDE is probably selling wigs from the last blind box event, so there may be less of the bi-color styles. Usually it's a mix of limited colors from the past year, premium colors, and some older stock of the standard styles/colors.

 

However the bi-color wigs are usually sold in pairs ($40 for one custom plus a random bi-color wig) and since DDE charges $40 for ONE of these I think they might be throwing in the randoms into the grab bags as well. Not sure about the odds of getting white, but I did get one last time I bought a Leeke grab bag.

I got a white wig in the last Leeke grab bag I got that I'd be willing to trade you for a different one if you don't get a white one. It's only been tried on 2 of my girl once each to see what it looked like on them. I'm not really a huge fan of white wigs on my current girls though. Let me know what you get and if you'd be willing to trade. I can send you a pic of the wig too if you want. It's just a straight medium-ish length white wig. I can't find the style on Leeke's website though. Also I didn't get any two toned wigs in my grab baglast time.

And thanks for the info, jadepixel! I was not expecting the bi-color wigs at all the last time and that was all I got. I really love the new gradient colors they have up, and I hope they sneak one in.

First time ordering from them, usually how long does it take for them to send a paypal invoice? And how long to ship and everything?

I don't think I've ever paid via Paypal through DDE, but I would think no longer than 1-2 business days and shipping depends on the option, but I feel like they used Priority for an order once and that's about 2-4-ish days.

I've ordered from DDE a bunch and they're usually very quick to process payment and ship packages out. What size wigs did everyone order? I was thinking of the 8-9 wig, but does anyone go 9-10 with Leekeworld?

I went 8-9 but was thinking of going 9-10 because using a wig cap under would probably work, and the new 01 head I got is massive and 9-10 would fit it!

Placed my order yesterday and I just got a notification that it has shipped!!

 

I chose USPS Priority and the total for shipping + insurance came to $6.20

 

If it's 2:00 in Denver right now, I'm hoping the package will get here by Wednesday. So if anyone is unsure about ordering a grab bag, I'll share what I got and you can judge for yourself if it's worth it!

I love those grab bags! Last time I got a really good mix, ended up using all 3 of the ones I got. It says they're special event wigs so I wonder if they'll be two-color like last time, special event colors, or maybe even the event-only styles.

I sent an email last night asking about the variety and the response I got was:

 

"There are some custom colors but it is mainly a big random assortment of various wigs Leeke offers."

 

I'm hoping the new Special Art wigs are included as well as the styles that are new

Love this! It's parted down the center. Only bad thing is the extensions are held on via rubber band. I had a Luts wig that I accidentally pulled a pigtail out of. This could be really cute with the smaller pigtails though!

 

This next one is the only wig I don't care for. I've got the same wig in a different color from another grab bag.

 

The next wig is eve cream - nearly white. I think Mikuru will use this wig when she gets a new face up. It looks silly against her light brows!

 

I love this wig! Yay, normal wigs! Very long darker blonde/brown wig. Simple, but perfect!

 

Last but not least, this cute wig in shadow blue! It has a braid in the front. I think I would've liked it in another color, but the shadow blue is certainly a great color!. Again, it'd look really cute on Mikuru but she's eyeless and her eye brows look strange! Also, I realized after that it's parted on the side LOL. Oh well!

 

Overall, way more satisfied than the last DDE grab bag! All girly wigs too.

Also!! If you have a big headed doll like the 01, then 9-10" wigs could work. I measured my 01 head and it's exactly 9". It's really hard to stretch wigs over her big head.
