Miyuki and Sprout at the park

Last month we had a doll meetup at the local county park and I brought along Sprout and Miyuki. It was quite warm out and the sun was out in full force. I wanted to take more pics of them but anything not shaded was just way too hot to deal with. But before it got too bad, I did manage to grab some shots of the girls.

It was pretty windy out on the lawn area so the girls had to hold their hats on!

Sprout wanted to go see the pond area so I took her across to an area with no people around. She sat on a bench there as well as hid among some trees.

By this time, Miyuki had run off, leaving Sprout behind to fend for herself in the woods. Sprout was NOT happy.

 

"Get back here Miyuki! Don't leave me out here in the bugs and weeds! I hate this place! COME BACK!!!"

Miyuki looks so great and happy to be outside. Sprout looks like she'd rather be anywhere else. Maybe some more sun and she might be a full-fledged weed instead of just a sprout

Yep, Miyuki loves being outside no matter the weather. And poor Sprout wasn't a huge fan of the Great Outdoors. That's funny about her growing into a weed! Maybe I should tell her..... NAH.

Thank you! I liked the ones with the hats as well. As for Sprout going, none of the local people who come to meets had seen her yet so this was the first chance i had to share her with them. And just like the other meet in Charlotte, she was very popular. So even if she looked like she hated it all, I think she still had a little fun out there.

Thank you! I love taking my girls outside and they enjoy it too. I used to be afraid of it but now its second nature for us. The outfit Sprout is wearing is from Nightfall. I also think it's a great little outfit for her. I need to find more things like that for Sprout to wear since she likes pale colors and white so much. And the hats were a buck each at a local craft store! I added the flower bands and ribbons to them at a sewing meet we had at my place once.

Thank you so much! I really had some difficulty with that blazing sun at times. I tossed about 50 pics or so from this set due to washed out pics. But I think these all worked out well. And yes, Sprout protested a bit about the heat and light and bugs and lack of AC and TV etc etc. I think she still had *some* fun tho.

Don't worry.... even tho there WERE gators around, she was referring to some Anole lizards she saw across the table. And her giant bugs were actually gnats. Silly little girl..... While Miyuki can be a bit harsh sometimes, she means well and just likes to have fun. She is taking after Manami a bit much nowadays tho so I may have to talk to her about that. I also think Miyuki would love to hang with your Natsuki! They seem to be kindred spirits.

Thanks sir! I'm glad you liked Miyuki on the dock. I was SOOO scared of her out there on her own as that dock was a floating dock so any movement on another part of the dock made that part rock too. I took my shots as fast as I could and then beat feet. XD

Thank you! The picnic was fun but a little warm. And thank you about Sprout! Her favorite color is white so I have to try and keep her in white clothes as much as I can so she doesn't complain too much.

You are much braver than I am, letting her sit by herself on the dock, though. I'm still way too paranoid with Yuriko. I rarely even have the guts to take her to the park just two blocks away.

Trust me, being brave took a long time. When it was just Manami, it took me over a month to finally bring her outside into my yard. After that it was more time before I went to my parents with her. But eventually, I figured out that NOT taking her or any of the others out does me and them a disservice. Taking pics outside is just so much fun and all of us have a great time with it. It helps to be of the mind of not giving a fig what others think of me either. I just go where I want and take my pics and then leave. If someone doesn't like it, they have yet to say anything to me about it.

 

I say go out and have fun with them and don't sweat the small stuff. You can clean most dirt or stains easily enuff. What's important is to have fun and make memories.
