Mitsuki's Mariko and flowers

Mariko is still visiting us here in SC and she had kept telling me she wanted to go and see some flowers whenever I got the chance. So last weekend I was able to let her out in the yard and let her check out the newer blooms I had in and around my yard.

 

I changed her clothing out to one of my favorite sets from Alices Collections. That blue and white outfit is just so cool looking in my opinion!

 

So anyways, no story here, just Mariko checking out various flowers.

This plant is a day lily of some sort and I rescued it from up near the road next to my mailbox. When I first moved in here, I saw it do ONE tiny bloom once and I decided to move it to a spot closer to the house so it would get more attention and water. Ever since then, it has bloomed every year and each year it gives me more and more blossoms. I really like it's color and look.

After taking these shots of Mariko, I started to see why so many people really like her. She's really pretty when you pay some attention to her.

Now, she has moved over to the lantanna bush. I have a few different kinds but this one was dug up from my parents place and transplanted here years ago. It always comes back each year and gives me blooms all summer long.

Now this type of lantanna stays low to the ground and spreads out in a huge round shape. If I don't trim them, they will grow over 4 feet in diameter easy. The other lantanna in the previous pics will grow straight up to 5 feet or more but they don't grow out.

Out in the backyard, I have some hydrangeas that bloom on occasion. I also transplanted these from my parents place. For some reason, they only bloom every few years no matter how much I water them. So far I only have one bloom so Mariko goes to check it out.

They came up this year as a very delicate blue color.

And there we have it. She seemed to have a good time out there even tho she didn't talk much. I guess she's still pretty shy.

You're very welcome! I really had fun with her outside doing these shots. I also think she looks great in this outfit.... she seems younger in it as well as more moe.

Mariko is one of these Dollfies that I don't really like... except when someone takes awesome photos of her like this. ^^

 

It's like, she's a Dollfie that requires the owner (or in this case the DD casanova) to do the magic and bring out her beauty. It was the same with Nekopon's photos of her with the Leeke wig.

That is a very cute outfit, and Mariko looks nice amongst the flowers. Did you use your macro lens for these photos? The flower closeups came out very nice.

Wow, thanks for the praise! I'm still on the fence about Mariko. I mean she's cute and all but her expression is just not what I like on my girls. But like you said, at certain angles, she really DOES become much prettier. I appreciate you saying I did well with doing this for her!

Thank you sir! Yes indeed, I did use my macro lens for these pics. Since that lens uses the macro settings at long distances, I had to be FAR away from her and the flowers in order for them to come out nicely. And I was lying down in the front yard in all sorts of odd positions during many of these pics which led to my neighbors yelling across the road at me to see if I was okay. I suppose I looked like I had fallen down and hurt myself or maybe had a heart attack. Nice of them to at least check on me tho. Ha ha!

The more photos I see of Mariko the more I like her. Something about the colour or design of that outfit seems like it doesn't suit Mariko to me, but it's fully possible that she looked 10x better IRL.

Thank you! I try to take care of my yard but sometimes I do get lazy. That's why I use lots of plants that don't need as much as attention from me.

Yeah, I rarely see the neighbors outside but when I do they're pretty nice. I'm sure they think I'm nuts tho. No worries on her outfit, it's not to everyones taste. But I really like it for a few of my other girls and think it worked out well for Mariko. But I'm partial to blues.

Thank you sir! You're right, she is VERY timid looking in person, I have no idea how she could handle any kids in a classroom! If you think Natsuki and Moe are hard to handle, just wait and see who she gets to try and teach from MY family.

Thank you for the kind praise! If you want simple flowers to have outside with low maintenance, go get some lantana. They are hardy and come back every year. They need minial attention and always do well in shade or direct sun. They're not picky at all. And you can get lots of different colors too.

She is actually Akira`s teacher, so it may be a little easier? But with hew sweet face I bet her students love her and will do anything to not disappoint Mariko-sensei.

Ha! I had no idea this modeled after an actual school uniform! I got it form Alices Collections so I guess that makes sense. Plus, it did remind me of the school uniforms from Evangelion.

 

I love baggy socks like that! It reminds me of the Kogals I used to see all the time on TV and in magazines. Love those tough looking school girls!

 

And thanks about my flowers. I really don't have a garden to speak of, just a few flower beds around the yard. I want to add more tho so I can have more areas to take pics of my girls!

Thank you! Outdoor shoots are really fun unless its 90+ degrees out, then it sucks. But this was a nice day so nothing bad for me or her. I like taking pics of the girls with flowers, it's a good mix of style and form.
