DD1 question: can volks SD wigs fit DD's?

I'm planning to make a Taiwan doll from hetalia and I just cant find the right wig for her in the DD wig section. There are perfect wigs for Taiwan in the SD wig section and I am wondering if the SD wigs can really fit DD because I'm making a Taiwan doll..btw this is her: and I'm wondering if this wig really can fit her head mold: or please help~! ve~~!!

I think they will fit.

Since some of the pictures have Dollfie Dreams modeling them, you should be fine getting them.

Generally, SD wigs are slightly big on a DD. Not enough that they usually look bad, but enough that you'll need velcro or a wig cap to help keep it on.

Seriously, my Arisu (WC ALNA) has a silicone headcap with a cloth wig cap over it and the pitatto stopper (velcro) on top of that, and her original wig is STILL too big. Good thing I only have it on her for the time being as I'm working on sewing some extra hair into her special wig to thicken it up a bit.

I'd say you'd be safe with just the cloth cap for now. If the wig is light colored you won't really have to worry much about staining on the DD either.

so, the solution here that is the cloth cap wig? well if it was then it'll be my first-long term dollfie

That's also because Alna has a TINY head compared to... Yoko! Hehe

I have the same problem with my Shino. She's got a tiny head amongst my DD girls >__<"

 

Silicone wig caps aren't expensive, and most companies that sell doll stuff carry them. In the meantime you could use a natural rubber elastic band (not a colored one!!) around the top of your doll's head to give the wig something to grip onto. Don't use a colored elastic because it may cause staining!
