Juu-Yuki Faceup Corner 8: Saber Lily

Presenting my idol, Custom Lily~

 

Fast faceup attempt to repaint Saber Lily. I might just do another repaint later this year since I didn't like it at first. It's starting to grow on me though. I should have used a lighter colour Orz. My favorite part is her slight smile. XD

 

I decided to leave her name as Lily, makes it easier on myself ^^" hehe~

She is currently on a DDS body. I will try to find her a DD3 body later when I have more funds T^T

 

The wig is actually a leekeworld curly wig that I completely ruined. I have a hard time maintaining super curly wigs so I decided to try saving it. Took my straightener and went crazy. it came out alright.... I might have to trim off the split ends at the bottom though ;~;

 

Feel free to give critiques. I am always trying to improve =)

 

Faceup included:

 

- Head cleaning

- Faceup removal

- Custom design and painting

- 8 coats of sealant

- Light pink orange blushing

- Glossed lips

- Eyelashes

Holy wow! She looks amazing, mature and sophisticated but that bit of a smile makes her seem playful too. I also love the eyelashes, so pretty. I am in love!

What do you use to make the gloss on the lips more pinkish? I have Tamixa X-20 but it's natural, and with Shine Pearl powders my DDs are just too ....pearly!! xD

I absolutely love what you did with her! x3 I usually try to get all helpful critic on face-up work (cause I'm a wee bit picky), but what you've done is simply amazing! I positively love how you did her eyelashes. Every little flick of them seems so perfectly placed. As for a lighter color...I think that would have been good on the eyebrows unless you don't plan to keep her in such a light colored wig. If you want versatility the color you chose looks just fine! Means you have more options, and less clashing especially if you had wanted to stick a very colorful wig (Such as teal, or purple) as eyebrows aren't something you want popping out! She's just dyed her hair for a day, it's all good! XD (Apparently, I can be helpful critic?) I really adore custom Lily's (I want a second one just so I can do this! >.>; ) and I have to admit yours may be just one of my favorites. x3 I look forward to seeing how else you'll do her up!

Now that you mention the eyebrows I can see they are darker than the usual Volks paint, but honestly I didn't notice before. As Gunter said, with other wigs they'll match better.

Yes, it's one of my fastest faceups compared to my other ones. It might be just be me getting excited to get her finished so it ended up being faster than normal XD.

 

Yes, I do take commissions. But I will only work on limited heads.

I am using Mr Super Clear for sealing. It's the most troublesome thing I have ever used. Trying to take it off to make small changes is horrible! But there is nothing like it when it comes to quality. ;~;

Yes, I paint DD heads. But when it comes to commission I will only work on limited heads.

Thank you!~ I am loving the way she turned out also.

The pink colour is just blush with a shiny layer of clear gloss.

Yes, I regret darkening them at the last minute . I was planning on using a darker colour wig at first but after trying on all my wigs, nothing compared to her with blond. It might be just me because I am so use to see Saber like that, any other colours just look weird =/ I saw your Lily picture with the teal coloured wig. It looks really pretty on her ^^ I was never brave enough to buy a blue wig (maybe only if I really want to make a miku).

It might just be your photo-processing (since I think I made this comment last time about nkei's Alna) but the eyebrows look really dark in comparison to the rest of the faceup.

Aaaah, that's unfortunate. I don't think there is a way to remove just the eyebrows, huh? I also adore blonds though so I see no harm in keeping Saber as a blondie! Even with the dark eyebrows she is still stunning. OH! Thank you! While taking advantage of all the colors the rainbow offers is fun...it can really be a pain! I'd say stay with the natural tones if it's what you can work with best. I rarely have anyone who doesn't have a natural colored wig. (My Lily is actually still a plain blondie too.)

Seriously, I'm thinking of asking about commissioning you for some face-ups once I have all my girls together in one place... All 15 of the limited ones!

Lily is so gorgeous . I love her eyes- the stylized eyelashes really work! Her lips are really pretty too. She definitely has a lot of personality! And I would have never thought of an idol persona for her but it really works OAO.

I can't remember what I used for nkei's Alna, I think a brown. Lily's here is black/brown Orz I would try to fix the eyebrows but there is a lot of risk involved and I really dont want to scrub everything right now. Maybe in the future when I get tired of this look I will go for something different.

the prettiest lilly ever !!!! *O* love her soooooooooo much I never considered lilly as one of my unicorns and probably cus of her smile or "empty" look/feel she gives me but you have so much more personality ! her smile especially, I don't think her lashes look bad I think it fits well with her current eyes XD good job ! if I ever get a lilly she'll certainly get a reface up thanks to this *o*

you know, she is so beautiful that I don't know what to say I almost couldn't tell she's saber lily, the detail on her eye, the light peachy cheeks, her glossy lips (but not TOO glossy)... every detail just blends together so well
