How many Dollfie Dreams do you have? How long did it take to collect? How often are they bought within a year? Please post pictures of your dollfies

I currently have 9 Dollfie dreams with another 9 on the way to see pictures please check out the "dollfie dream database" where we all have a thread and can post pictures

I currently have 7 with 5 more on the way (2 on layaway) and like bethykins, I have pics in the DD database. How ofteh do I buy one? As often as I could hehehe... seriously though, I just find myself saving up every month in a dollieh fund in case there is something that I like. That way, I don't get too surprised by the Dollpas

Counting layaways, floating heads waiting for the body restock, and on-order dolls from Volks... I just hit 25 about a week ago. My first was Mari last xmas, so it's been a year and a half... I think I have a problem. At least I share them with SirNarwhal ^^;

Oooh you all are lucky, and have many more DD than me! :3 I'm pretty envious!!!

I already own 2 full set, 2 floating heads (with bodies on their way to reach me, 1 paid, 1 half paid! ), and 2 full set arriving to me *0*

I've 13 girls, and Im waiting for another one (Saber Alter).

I buy them when I've money.. I start collecting them since Sa-chan came home in 2010.

If i had never sold one of my girls i would have 15 now xD ...

But i sold 2 fullsets, 2 custom girl done by others, and 1 custome girl done by me.

 

So i have 10 girls now, but only 7 bodys T___T ...

And a Fullset waiting for a resolution T___T

At the moment I got only one girl that changed heads over time. I am currently waiting for a MDD body so soon I'll have two

If all goes well and I manage to buy a DD III body for the Saber extra head I am waiting without having to sell my DD II body, then I shall have 3 girls in my family. And I think this will be as far as I will go :S Unless I'll find a better job in the future ^^

I have twenty four at the moment but I also have four floating custom heads and four additional DD (both Sabers preordered from VolksUSA-second batch and a lovely Sakuya Izayoi and Haruka on layaway) on the way.

 

I started collecting on Valentine's Day in 2009 when we got both of the Ikki Tousen girls. I've noticed that I tend to buy in spurts where I will buy one a month for three months or so then not buy any for several months though the side effect is the longer the period between buying periods is the longer the spurts seem to last. I went a year without any DD arrivals after Saber Lily arrived, while I did preorder both of the Sabers they won't be here until well who knows the true spurt started when I entered for and won Lucy via the VolksUSA since then five additional girls have been bought/are in the process of being bought on layaway. I think once the two girls are paid off via layaway here later this month I will hopefully be done for a good long while (though I wouldn't mind acquiring a Millhiori head before going on another buying break). I now own 12 DD girls and have a Saber Extra heading my way ( hopefully soon ). This month actually will see my 2 year anniversary with my first girl Manami. She is what started it all for me! Here is a group picture of all my girls, plus Mitsuki's Mariko on her visit:

My girls are also listed separately in the Database area of the forums but I'll do a brief rundown for you here of their types and what number they arrived to my house.

 

1) Manami - Custom girl with 01 head and DDdy body

2) Rei Ayanami V1 - I have her original head on a DDII body as the DDI body was NOT to my liking

3) Yoko - full default set

4) Miyuki - Custom girl with 04 head and DDII body

5) Mai Shiranui - full default set

6) Mamimi - Custom girl with 01 head and DDS body

7) Ryomou Shimei - Full default set

8) Yukino - Full default set

9) Elisabeth - Full default setup of Mikuru Asahina

10) Sango - Custom girl with 02 head and DDII body

11) Mashiro - Full default set

12) Sprout - Custom girl with 01 head on white skinned DDII body

 

As for how and when I get my girls, it's been very random. All the girls I have now have been secondhand and not new. Well, Mamimi and Sprout both have brand new bodies but both heads were already done before I bought them. Saber will be my first brand new girl. So far, most of the time my girls were adopted when a good deal came up or someone approached me with one of them. I have only bought Mai and Yukino off Ebay. I think all others were purchased thru someone I knew or similar cirbleepstances.

I have two DDs. My first was bought on a business trip to Tokyo in June 2010, a WS DDH-02 on a NS dynamite body. I couldn't find a NS DDH-02 head in any of the Tokyo Volks stores I went to, so I had to spray paint the head to match the body. She became Meade. My second was bought on Ebay May 2011, and was a DD Marya from Lost Angel Story, with a custom face up by Hikaru132. She became Chandra.

 

I don't have any more DDs as I tend to buy my dolls from Ebay, and try to restrict myself to UK sales only so I don't go crazy with my spending (and avoid customs charges). I was really tempted by Mariko, but misbudgetted for her. Instead, I bought an Obitsu body from Parabox and plan to make my own custom Mariko. I have quite a few Obitsu bodies/heads as well but these are off topic so I'll stop there.

 

If Volks brings out the right limited, and I have the funds, I may get another limited girl (and by "right" limited I am probably talking about one of the Tenchi Muyo! girls, which isn't going to happen, sob!). But I think it's more likely that my next DD will be a custom girl, with an SQlabs head, when I have an idea for her that fits. I'd really like Volks to release more head types, especially those with thinner, more mature eye and face shapes.

 

Until then I adore my DDs (I love both Volks and Obitsu for their own strengths), and they spend their days lolling around my room on couches while I sew outfits and cosplays for them. Making snarky comments to my Obitsus about their aesthetics. Who respond by doing one handed cartwheels with no stand. They keep me sane.

I started collecting last year so I guess 3-4 full sets a year for me. Although, I would really like to keep the number around 3 girls. I am kind of picky when it comes to molds so I won't buy just any DD.

I have six "whole" girls and four floating heads, though my intention is to cut out two of those heads and possibly one of the bodies. We'll see how it goes...

In three years I've acquired 9 DD + 1 floating head... It seems that every year I've bought one doll more than the previous year. First year I got 2 DDs, second year 3 and this year it's 4 DD + 1 floating head. I'm not very keen on floating heads so if she doesn't get a body I will rehome her.

 

Dollfie dreams are awfully addictive ^^;

I have Saber Extra, Noumi, DDH-06, and Mariko. I also have a floating body... The body is awaiting an Akira or Saber Lily head. Whichever one comes first.

I bought 5 of my girls in 2011 and so far this year I've only purchased the one girl. I think I will be remaining a family of 6 for a long time. I want to use any extra money to go toward buying them more clothes and shoes. =3 I fear if I get too many girls I wouldn't be able to shower them in gifts like I do now.

 

I do know who I would like to be my 7th girl, but any plans of taking real action to adopt her is on hold.

I actually started around the time I made this forum in 2010. I got a DDII body and a blank head, but I later sold them. Then in 2011 I got my two current girls during the same lottery. So, I currently have two girls and I recently got a head. Besides the first two, my DD purchasing trend has been very spaced out. Sometimes by many months. With my current plans, whenever I can get bodies, I may end up with an extra body. So, if I can find a head, I may have four girls eventually. I don't plan/want a big group. I still say five is my limit.
