DD heads on dds body?

Hi everyone,

 

I was hoping you guys could help me out with information or pictures of dd heads on dds bodies. My reason for asking is that I am plotting a custom project for a doll, she needs to be smaller then a dd, but bigger then an mdd so dds will be perfect.

 

I know with mdd bodies, not every head looks right on the body so I was wondering if it was the same with the dds body?

 

At the moment the heads I am choosing between are dd01 and dd06. I'm only going for standard heads at the moment as I will be attempting the modding myself which includes a lot of sanding. I don't have the confidence or experience to be doing that to a limited head yet xD it wouldn't be fair on the head.

I'v heard the volks number 06 head looks good on the DDS body. When l get the DDS body and find a volks number 6 head l'l post some pictures of it.

I agree the 06 head looks gorgeous on a DDS body !

I think most of the DD heads will look good on a DDS body. Their shoulders are almost the same width so it would be harder for them to not be proportional.

I'm pretty sure most regular DD heads will look just fine on a DDS body. As examples, here is my Mamimi on her DDS. She's a custom 01 head.

I haven't tried any other heads on the DDS yet so I can't tell you how those will look. But I'm sure most of them will be fine.

Oh, I forgot to post my good example.

 

Yoko is one of the biggest DD heads I think, but, she still looks ok on a DDS.

Rooted head on DDS body.

For some reason the only problem I have is keeping the head on the neck peg. It keeps falling off. I never had this problem with the DDII. I've found ways around it so It's not a huge hindrance.

I'm glad to see that the heads mix with dds better then they mix with mdd. I did think they should do as the scale wasn't dramatically different, but I did wonder.

I'm making Hazuki from the anime full moon phase and l'm have a promble finding the right head for her. I well be using a DDS body with the small bust. Anyone got any idea's?
