manueli Posted June 29, 2012 I've done geocaching in Finland and found around 50 caches... I haven't been too active in a few years but it's fun to do every now and then! I think it's a great way to find new, interesting places and also a fun outdoor activity (unless you get mobbed by bugs). Wayne Here's the official website: http://www.geocaching.com/ You get a gps unit and load the coordinates from the site (you can search for ones nearest you) into your gps... then you go hunting for the geocache! You can do it alone, with your family or friends, however you want! I prefer to geocache with people, since I'm a small girl... and trampsing around in the woods alone seems like a potentially dangerous idea. In every geocache there is a log book to sign with your geocaching name (you can use the site for free... there are certain caches that are members only, but there are PLENTY of free ones!) Often times in each geocache there are little trinkets to exchange too... now, if you take something, you're supposed to put something in its place as well, so I always carry around a bag with goodies to leave behind! I hope that helps explain things a little!!! What we've found, with geocaching, is that we've discovered a TON of awesome parks, locally, that we had NO idea were even there!!!
