mitsuki Posted June 23, 2012 Here are some comparison photos of the MDDIII and MDD bodies. The MDD body has a Cool Cat option part neck joint that seems to be making the bust sit a little higher on the body. Otherwise, the two bodies are about the same height. The MDDIII has immense improvements in posing, flexibility, and stability.
Anna-neko Posted June 23, 2012 so.. as stable as DD's now?
mitsuki Posted June 23, 2012 I think so it is as stable as DD now. I can even get Cirno to stand with those big heavy wings on. haha
Saluli Posted June 23, 2012 Thanks for this comparison Mitsuki! It is very nice seeing all the details. Now I am sure that I NEED a MDDIII! I hope it doesn't take much time for it be offered as Base Body. And I hope they sell in in one piece, not in parts like the DDS... Summon ritual is over. And finally complete. Anna-neko Posted June 23, 2012 This was most informative! Now kinda wanna upgrade my MDD with this new body... hopefully Volks will be offering them soon
Till Troll Posted June 23, 2012 Thank you Mitsuki. I really like how they have tidied up the knee joint so nicely! Does the MDDIII have an proper internal skeleton in the legs, or is it the same situation as before? With the improvements, this is a lovely body. But if they release the parts only it'll be so expensive. I wonder how this girl's movement and stability compares to the Parabox 40cm doll.
ohsomoe Posted June 23, 2012 Do the knees on the MDDIII bend farther than that or do they need to be pulled out to bend more? And are their joints stiff like the DDIII, I'm just a little bit confused because of all of the scary stories of breakage or the joints being too stiff on the other newer bodies.(>A<

But if they release the parts only it'll be so expensive. I wonder how this girl's movement and stability compares to the Parabox 40cm doll. I think the internal skeleton is continuous now like in DD but I have not taken the MDDIII body apart. I seems to behave much more like a DDII, DDS, or DDIII. I am curious about the Parabox 40 cm too. Do the knees on the MDDIII bend farther than that or do they need to be pulled out to bend more? And are their joints stiff like the DDIII, I'm just a little bit confused because of all of the scary stories of breakage or the joints being too stiff on the other newer bodies.(>A< That is as far as the seem to bend without pulling them out. The joints are stiff like the DDIII. I hope she doesn't end up with any cracking issues like the new bodies. I have seen that they are making improvements to try to prevent cracking in the latest versions of DDIII. I hope that helps solve the problem.
mitsuki Posted October 31, 2012 Take that, Billy. I am bringing up this thread too because you mentioned the two MDD busts. (I hope you can tell I am teasing you.)
baldylox Posted October 31, 2012 Take that, Billy. I am bringing up this thread too because you mentioned the two MDD busts. (I hope you can tell I am teasing you.) Ha ha! You're so sneaky! I appreciate you bringing this one back, I totally forgot about it! You have some great pics in here and it really helps to see these side by side. Thanks for bringing it back! And yes, I know you're teasing me.... you do it TOO well. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

mitsuki Posted July 6, 2013 So far, I have seen a lot of trouble with MDDIII arms. More than half of the arms I have seen in person have problems staying attached at the elbow. It is like the plastic is too slick and the parts can't stay together. Now I have seen the same problem with DDIII arms.
Lucy Harper Posted July 15, 2013 Thanks, I had just received a MDD III from volks Japan and it is just beautiful. I'm glad after reading your post that I went for her. I have found she stands well etc... But her internal frame is so flimsy compared to the obitsu's I have. The body is dreamy looking, just so cute!
mitsuki Posted July 16, 2013 I agree. The shape is so cute!
mitsuki Posted February 24, 2014 I am bumping this thread up. MDDIII is a much easier body to work with compared to MDD.
SisterKyoya Posted February 24, 2014 After having Tama's MDD body for over two years, I'm SO looking forward to getting him an MDDIII. I'll grin and nicely say that I've had to learn to live with the MDD joint issues, only because my mother told me not to say anything if I couldn't be nice. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

battrastard Posted February 25, 2014 You mean it's not the simple answer of "you're getting into trouble"? Hah! That started as soon as I volunteered to craft thing for these lil cuties a few years ago! "Madness takes it's toll, Please have exact change!"
baldylox Posted February 26, 2014 I'll thank you Both, because this info tells me what I'm getting into!! Good sir, if you think that all you're getting into is a little teasing and having to find some different sized clothes..... you're deluding yourself! Once you have an MDD in your home, you'll NEVER be able to escape from them! They will take hold of your heart and make you do silly things you wouldn't normally do..... even for your DD girls. You already know that I started out *trying* to have just one MDD. And now look where I am! FOUR OF THEM! Once yours is home, you'll see exactly what I mean. But I still congratulate you on getting one and I can't wait to see her! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. mitsuki Posted February 26, 2014 It's true. Once you start, it is a downward spiral...or an upward uplifting fun spiral. haha
SisterKyoya Posted February 26, 2014 Once you have an MDD in your home, you'll NEVER be able to escape from them! They will take hold of your heart and make you do silly things you wouldn't normally do..... even for your DD girls. This is so very true, but I never had any forewarning because I started with an MDD. He still lovingly dominates my attention, but in the meantime that can have its down sides. In our home at least it has enabled all of our other bigger girls to sneak in. Some days I turn around and see them all sitting there and I want to ask where they all came from. Once everyone who is currently a head has a body, it is going to be a real shock to me for sure. 3 MDD, 2 Obitsu 45cm, in addition to my other four, I mean six bigger girls, and two boys, and none of that includes Raven's 3 girls, and him mentioning that he wants an MDD girl of his own. (He apparently has yet to learn.) Tama is still the little prince who holds my heartstrings, although the little princess Ringo (who will be an MDD) comes in a very close second. If those two start plotting, I'm done for! ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
