Hi everyone :3

Just wanna ask how would I secure a DD head? Is it alright if I use a lot of bubble wrap to wrap the entire head then a mini box then bubble wrap the box as well then inside a bigger box?

When I sent the head of Neris, I wrapped the head in a small white towel. I then surrounded by bubble wrap (with sellotape) and I put all around the newsprint. But my package was more or less adapted to the size of the head. With all that, the head had no damage (I received the head of Reimu with same protection). But there may be other solutions.

I have sent and received many dd heads up until now and most of the time they have been placed in a small plastic bag, like the type you put sandwiches in for lunch boxes and then wrapped in a health layer of bubble wrap, then placed in a box.

DD heads are very hard to break due to the nature of vinyl, so you don't have to go over the top with packing for them because its not like they'll arrive cracked or smashed like some resin or porcelain doll parts can. The main thing you want to do is make sure the face is covered by something smooth so that the face up isn't at risk of damaging. Even then though, face ups are also extremely hard to damage.

Also never wrap it directly in newspaper as the ink print can rub off. If you are going to use newspaper to pad the box with, make sure the head is fully encased in something protective like the bag mentioned above.

Agree you should use a faceup protector before wrapping the doll head. Or you could use the box the head orginally come in. I hope that was helpful.

Along with those points (face protectors and bubblewrap) I also make sure that I've packed the box tightly so nothing moves, this will keep things in place (since lots of motion and some jolting actions won't damage the vinyl) and also helps keep any damage to the outside box at a minimum.
