Prototype Geta

I have Yukata's & Kimono's, but no footwear to go with them. As always, I have a try at making the items that i don't have. I did a search and saw Chun's example of making a geta but she cut slits to make them fit. I was thinking of a non-destructive way of making them.

 

Here's a prototype that i make quickly to see if my idea works. I need to make some adjustments, and hopefully make some nice getas for my girls to wear.

Very nice work, simple and clean.

Now I just wish DDs had fitting feet for such shoes like some of the SDs have :C

Ahh, very nicely done! You always come up with good ideas and how to make them work. If you get these into a final design you're happy with, I do hope you share how to make them as I'd like to have some of these for my girls too.

Only made the right foot and here's another prototype with a few changes. This time it was made from one piece of wood. I have no experience with shaping wood so it's all trial and error for me. After making the right geta i was covered with sawdust
