SQ Lab Original Body

Personally, I'd have preferred a moveable torso and lower boobies... they're too close to the neck imho.

Anyway, finally a body that matches perfectly their head with its color..!

CUTE body, but I prefer vinly. Still I like the look of it!

Cute (and I'm amused that they put her nekkid with nothing but the Daria default shoes on!)

 

It has DD proportions but it won't have the posability which is one of the main selling points of DD's to me.

It looks cute, but at last no BJD body can stand or move like a DD body ...

It really takes a lot to convince me to invest in resin these days... so much more fragile, less poseable, and with all the yellowing concerns... this isn't quite enough for me. But I do think it's quite cute and hope to see owner photos in the future!

But with two-part torso and double jointed knees may be even better. Maybe in the future...

I think it's cute, but it's really not all that unique. There are many other bodies with similar proportions from other companies. The lack of jointing will be an issue for some.

Yeah, I noticed that there is no joint underneath the bust.

That's no good...

It's first version prototype. Maybe the second one will have more joints, who knows.

But You know, the lack of joints makes also very smooth lines, they look great in skimpy outfits

It looks nice, but I don't think I could switch to resin. Though I would be all over a SQLab DD-sized replacement body as long as it had an internal skeleton like DD does! More options, more competition would be great!

I personally found this news very exciting, especially since I originated with resin dollies. I love the DD body and especially the pose-ability, so I don't think this could come nearly as close. But I'm a huge fan of resin, so it might be nice to switch it up a bit.

 

I also wish they had a torso joint, pose-ability has always been such a big deal to me.

There aren't many bodies in the 50cm range. It'd be nice if she could wear DD clothes but I suspect she's a bit too small. And like other folks said, lack of underbust joint is disappointing. She does nicely fill the gap between MDD and DD since the DDS isn't really 50cm.

What sold me on this body was when Ranka announced they would be compatible with DD heads, though I'll likely wait to see the neck joint before setting money aside for one. I'm hoping this competition might cause Volks to produce more bodies soon. I admit, I'm probably going to get one, maybe two of these bodies so I can have spare bodies for DD heads. Judging from her appearance, she could likely fit in DDS clothes, or maybe clothes meant for a small bust DD.

Yeah I am curious too as to what clothes will fight. Although, I must admit, the more I think about it, the more I want a full SQ Lab doll. Oooh why can't my money tree bloom already! >.<;

 

And it looks like she at least has nice elbow joints! XD

I suppose this is a great opportunity for fellows who wanted an anime like girl, but prefer to stick with resin...

Ranka said that MSD, MDD or SDC outfits would fit- not really what I was hoping for. Can't decide if I want this body for my Erio or not, so I'll wait for owner pics :3

I'm not the biggest fan of strung bodies but I'd like to get my hands on one of these bodies for comparison! Also, given the current shortage of DD bodies around, this could be another option for the poor spare head girls!

Oh, haha so she is taller! I was really surprised when I read she was MSD sized! So yay, this works better I think. ^_^

I just got a reply to a mail I sent to SQ lab with two questions and I thought I'd share the answers here.

 

The pre-order will be open until 28th of July but may close earlier if the stock sells out (I also updated the news thread with this).

 

It's possible to order a set with head and body in different resin colors, you just have to state it when making the order.
