Yeah, I noticed that there is no joint underneath the bust.

aside from that it looks really cute, but it's not that unique, and there's lots of similar dolls who at least have a bust/waist joint.

Mmm, there's not many dolls in 50cm with this proportions. I only can think of Zaoll and those aren't as slim. Until recently not that many in 60cm with DD silhouette, either. But since there's a more posable model in the works, I think I'll hold out. Really hoping for underbust joint like DDy has

This is a nice surprise, can’t wait to see more pictures. I’ve had a floating SQ-lab head for a while, and have been debating what body to use. It’s nice to have another choice.

Ranka made a MSD sized feet as a gift when preordering the body.

Also there are new hands in progress, and another two heads to choose with the SG body.

I'm gonna be all over one of these as soon as I can. I really like my resins, and having one that combines the DD aesthetic with the resin feel will be awesome. I haven't had any trouble getting well-designed resin dolls to stand unaided, either, quite a few of ours are rock-solid, which isn't at all something I can say about the DDs.

 

Ranka's timing is good, too, since I just finally watched Oreimo and I want a Kuroneko super bad now. This body will be more appropriately scaled compared to the other dolls, and will look perfect with the SQ heads, which IMO look too small on a DD body. I'll probably be getting a Haruka head, though, since the one that's actually supposed to look like Kuroneko (Hime?) is a little too disgruntled. Dere Kuroneko > Tsun Kuroneko in my book, haha.

That is certainly cute, but due to her size she would barely be a little sister to DD/60cm dolls.

She's almost as small as a pureneemo which has major size differences. She'd be like a baby. ^^;

Heh.. I guess I think weirdly. One of my 65cm dolls has a 24cm yo-SD sibling ( said sibling is 5-6 years old.)

You really have to take into consideration that PureNeemo are scaled-down adolescent/adult bodies, while YoSD are scaled-down child bodies. Even though there's only about 1.5cm height difference (PureNeemo is 25cm, YoSD is 26.5cm), these dolls can't swap clothes, wigs, or anything else. They're totally incompatible, and it doesn't make sense to me to compare one to the other for scale purposes. I don't think LordNoir is thinking weirdly at all on this one.

 

If you check out this line-up from Volks (http://site.volksusa.com/sumikatimes/2010/10/29/size-matters/), you can see a YoSD at the far right end, and in the middle is an SD10 girl (55) and an SD13 girl (57cm), which are very close to the DDs (58cm). The YoSD makes a perfect toddler/small child for the SD girls, and it's very likely that SQ's new girl will make a nice toddler/small child sister for DDs.

I am thrilled about this body as I am sorely lacking tinies in my collection of resins!

I like the proportions for this new YoSD sized body! The thick ankles and wrists are really cute

Looking forward to see more photos of these if folks here get them.

Does anyone know if the tiny body is resin or vinyl? ?

I'm gonna assume resin. Is it back on their site now? They took it down for some reason before.

SQLab probably orders a limited quantity run in some casting factory, so the number of bodies is limited as well.

Currently a 31cm body is in production too. I gotta say, the range of bodies SQ lab is putting out is pretty awesome. It makes me really tempted to make a whole family. Now all we need is a male body with some male heads!
