SQ Lab Original Body

Did anyone see this?

 

Currently a 31cm body is in production too. I gotta say, the range of bodies SQ lab is putting out is pretty awesome. It makes me really tempted to make a whole family. Now all we need is a male body with some male heads!

 

I saw that just now. It made me sad because it's listed as sold out as well. It says it was listed on the 29th of September, so I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out within a day. If it hasn't actually gone on preorder yet then, yay.

 

Just wondering, is the best way to follow what's happening at sqlab just to follow it every day?

The last pre-order period( Sept 4-Sept 30th I believe) was the 2nd run of the 53cm body and the 1st run of the 26cm body.

Wait... 31cm? That seems an odd size point.

They seem pretty strange to me, never been that interested in SQ labs bodies... Maybe in the future?

There are quite a few resin BJDs that produce dolls around 30cm. I actually already own one that is that height and she looks rather cute next to my 26cm dolls because She looks like she's maybe a year or two older than them, so a slightly bigger sister for a little one who can share the clothes of the little ones.

Got an email that my tsubaki has shipped. So excited. This is my first Sq Lab girl!!!!

I just got mine in yesterday! It's definitely different from a standard DD. Once I get some outfits for her, I'll take some pictures and post them... currently I don't have anything to dress her in. XD

 

Size wise, it's smaller than an DDS, but bigger than an MSD/MDD. Comparing to some of the other dolls we have at home, the best way I can describe it as an MSD body with DD curves.

Hopefully I'll get a notice about my lot from SQ Lab shipping soon-ish.

 

I have no doubt everyone else will have their's before mine, since I put mine in with my first retail stock order.

Mine arrived yesterday. I think she is very cute.

 

She is only my 2nd resin (over 15 inches anyway), so it takes a little getting used to and I wish I had the courage to change her feet to the high heeled ones that came along in the box. Maybe soon.

 

I had originally planned on just getting a head and putting it on another body to create a certain character. That plan changed when I decided on the SQ body. So when she arrived and I dressed her, I still wasn't sure of "who" she was. Yet she reminded me so much of someone. I just couldn't place it.

 

I showed her to my son and he immediately said that she looked like this anime character we had recently seen (and really liked). It hit me that that was the name and character I was trying to pin down.

 

So Mashiro Shiina was 'born'. I just need other eyes and a different wig, but I do not usually try to exactly copy a character anyway - just an inspiration.

 

So I am very pleased.

 

She's so cute Misheru. ^^

 

I just got the notice that my SQ Lab order should be shipping in about a week. I'm quite excited. Is anyone else still waiting on a girl or two from SQ Lab at this point?

Received my shipping notice. Can't wait for the package to get here.

I finally got some clothing for mine and went out for pictures...

Anyone have any luck with particular makers of clothes that will fit the SG body? I picked up some stuff for MSD and it doesn't fit well.

 

I also took a sanding block and fine grit sanding paper to the body to smooth out the seam lines.

I've been using Alice's Collections 1/4 clothes for the SQ Lab body I have already and the clothes are a fair fit. I'm waiting for an order from dollheart to come in to see if their clothes might fit better.

 

The SQ Lab site recommends clothes for the Obitsu 50cm body, but I haven't gotten any yet to try.

I like that the 31 cm girl looks like she'll be able to twist at the bust, at least that's how the pictures make it look She's really adorable and could totally see myself getting one of these girls for myself!

Those of you who have the 50cm girl already: does the main body look too long in person? In the SQlab site pictures, she seems to have a really long lower body from her bust to crotch, and looks a little thin. Is this a picture issue, or is it really noticable in real life? I suppose with resin, I could try giving modding her and increasing her around the waist and hips...

She is a bit more slender than a standard DD. The bust is more like an M bust on a DD (which is much bigger than an MSD) and wider at the hips than a standard MSD. The proportions probably look odd in pictures since she doesn't have a seam/joint in the torso.

 

The issue I have is that the standard MSD outfits I bought here aren't big enough to accommodate her bust, especially if they are designed to be form fitting. The legs are also longer than a standard MSD and she has more ample curves, so normal pants are out of the question. I also have some MSD thigh socks that fit more like knee socks (see picture above).

 

Unfortunately, standard DD tops too baggy and loose for the slimmer body, though some of the skirts will look fine. I've yet to try some of the DDS-specific outfits, which may fit a bit better.

 

The first batch of clothing I got is from Alice's collection, but I'll need to look at some of the other vendors as well. I have some Nine9Style tops that fit her and Dollmore sells a doll that's similarly proportioned, so their outfits may work as well.

The bust is definately an issue as most MSD clothes cannot be closed at the back.

So Dollmore and Ninestyle seem to work well?

Azone have clothing lines for their 50cms, Parabox makes some 50cm stuff as well.

Has anyone ordered a KoSG body from SQLabs? I love the new 31 cm KoSG girl body. I'm not a huge fan of the "childlike chibi" look of most YoSD bodies, so this body is just perfect! Plus, chibi Moe is so cuuuute!

I believe the 31cm body is not available yet.

Oh my god the ksg is just what I've been looking for!!! So cute!!!!

I hope they plan on making more chibi heads though! I love Rin but imagine a chibi Iris or hibiki *q*

Has anyone ordered a KoSG body from SQLabs? I love the new 31 cm KoSG girl body. I'm not a huge fan of the "childlike chibi" look of most YoSD bodies, so this body is just perfect! Plus, chibi Moe is so cuuuute!

 

Actually, if you'll just look on the previous page, I have a Chibi Moe that I posted some pictures of. Here is a (crummy ipad quality) photo of the two Chibi Moes and Chibi Tsubaki who are currently in my home.

 

With the quality of the photo, it kinda looks like they're trying to film a home movie with an older video camera.
