Leadcrow Posted June 26, 2012 Usually Mandarake is good about saying if there is something missing in the discription, but you should probably ask through their contact page if you have any doubts. The worst that's happened to me was when I bought my DDdy Escalayer, which didn't say she was missing anything, she came without her panties, though it really didn't bother me much. Error-Chan Posted June 26, 2012 Another noobie thing now How do I contact them? first time I have has to message mandrake =P
Cauldroness Posted June 26, 2012 IIRC, almost all vmf50 girls are sold as nude, bald dolls only. I believe ALL the Original Concept Girls were sold this way -- no clothes, no shoes, and no wig -- even though their promotional images always showed a "completed," fully-dressed doll. That appears to be Risa #2, who was sold nude/bald when she was released. I would bet this is NOT a full set doll, because she was never sold as a full set in the first place. I think the little photo is just the promotional image, not what is actually in the box. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!
Error-Chan Posted June 26, 2012 Ah thank you. I thought she was full DX. Where can I get her wig then? I can't see it on the main site.
Cauldroness Posted June 26, 2012 Yamato sometimes sells the wigs separately, through their own site or through places like HLJ or HobbyLink. However, I think Risa #2 was released in 2009, so you're looking for a wig that came out 3 years ago. I don't know if it would still be available through any stores... I think Yamato partners with "girl holic" for wigs and outfits, so they might be another option, but I don't know if they have an English site/store. Personally, I can't say I've ever seen that wig for sale, so I don't even know if it ever was available or only used for promotional images. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram! Error-Chan Posted June 26, 2012 Ahh. Well that is a bit sad, my fiance loves the vmf girls and we were planing on getting the Risa for him but she likes the wig so I guess it will be finding a wig like that one. Any ideas? I guess I could buy a wig with bunches that is heat resistant and style it.
kymaera Posted June 26, 2012 Two places to check: 1) Hobby Link Japan does carry a few VMF items on occasion: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?Word=vmf50&x=0&y=0&Dae=All&Series=All&Dis=2 2) Yamato USA also carries Risa, but as a full set including clothes and wig: http://www.yamatotoysusa.com/page.cfm/
Cauldroness Posted June 26, 2012 D'oh. I always forget that YamatoUSA sells fullsets. They're so crazy expensive though... Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!

sakky Posted July 5, 2012 I was really hankering after that style of wig after checking out the vmf girls too. I bought some wefts from cool cat but I haven't started on it yet. I think after you have the base, you just need to make ponytail clip ons with lots of volume and fibre to them. maybe around the size of clip in fringes for humans, then roll it up and attach it to a clip. >w< it looks so nice with the small heads vmfs have~
leitan Posted July 11, 2012 hey Errorchan, i own a VMF50 wig (short hair, not long) and it's okay, but i actually prefer a wig i bought off ebay to the official one i have. maybe it's just personal preference but anyway, if you want, most wigs that are listed as being a size 7-8" on sites that sell wigs (i like tita-doremi on Ebay and Formydoll.com, but you can search anywhere you like) will fit a VMF50. also, not sure if it was mentioned in the thread but HLJ sometimes sells VMF50 stuff including wigs, just search for 'vmf50' on their site.
