Hello from the southern US!

Hai hai!

 

Been a lurker for a while and I am not sure why I haven't posted more.

 

Anyway, I am a wife and mom to a not-so-vinyl teen son and then a whole bunch of vinyl daughters, along with 10 nekos at last count. It is a fun house.

 

I have always collected dolls. I began with Barbies as early as I remember. Got back into the hobby a few years back with Silkstones. Moved from there into Tonners/Ellowynes and 16inch R&D Angels (resin bjd). I fell in love with anime and that led me to Dollfie Dreams.

 

My husband bought me my first one for our wedding anniversary in 2010 (Miu) and all other dolls were no longer collected. My heart belongs to tall vinyls. I have several Obitsus and one precious CH AI Choa that came from a dear friend.

 

Thankfully my husband shares the hobby with me. Gift giving is easy. Finding space in the house now is not.

 

I hope to join in on dolly discussions and share in all of your beautiful ladies. I know some of you already from other places, so I am happy to see you again.

We share each others' hobbies. I like football, anime and video games and he likes doll collecting. So we spend lots of time together. Thankfully we get along.

 

It is nice to have the support. No one else in our families seem to get it, so at we have each other.

Welcome to the forums. I think I recognize one of your aliases from Flickr group. It is very cool that your husband shares your same interests/hobbies. My boyfriend is interested in collecting DD, he just has to save up. xD He likes computers more, so it'll be a while before he can save up for one. :p

Hey! Yeah, my husband is a computer geek as well. He is needing and wanting a new computer this year. So I guess it will be a toss up on anniversary this time.

Just like you I started with collecting Barbies, then picked up some other random ones. My main obsession right now is Monster High, but I'm sure once my first Dollfie Saber arrives in August (hopefully) Monster High will take a back seat and a bit less of my paycheck. lol

I'm late to the welcome party! We collect many of the same fashion dolls and I'm also in the south.

Whoo! Yet another Southerner shows up! Good to see you joining up. I'm down in SC in Charleston and yeah, it's been STUPID hot lately. Hopefully that doesn't translate into more hurricanes this year.
