Buying stuff from the Volks international website..

Is it even possible?

 

I cannot find anything there, everything is out of stock;

or impossible to find.

Can't find the wigs or eyes I was thinking about anymore, are they closing down the webshop or are they just really slow..?

I am looking to buy my first Dollfie Dream and I really have no idea where to buy one..

Checking ebay, mandarake and yahoo auctions and figure.fm..

I decided to assemble one myself, so I am mainly looking for a body now.

 

If there are any tips for a place other than the ones I have listed I would be happy to hear them.

 

But yeah, this topic is mainly about the Volks international store, and if I have any hope hanging around there waiting for it to be restocked or not. :<

(or if anyone understands how to actually find eyes/wigs there for a 1/3 dollfie dream..

Seems the only option for eyes and wigs are for 1/6 dolls. :<)

Volks some time ago opened preorders for Saber Alter and Saber Extra... let me check... it was nine months ago, time flies so fast - and they still didn't manufactured all the orders for them.

And in the meantime they released several new dolls so they're quite busy now and don't have time and powers to produce "spare parts".

Unfortunately, the supply for bodies and heads are very limited now.

 

But eyes and wigs - there are plenty.

Any 8-9" bjd wig is suitable for DD (in fact, my girls have only such wigs, none is labeled "DD only").

There are tons of shops with it. Leeke, Coolcat, Cancan-Jseries, nDoll, Jpopdolls ... not to mention that in many cases they're the same quality but much cheaper than Volks' ones.

I actually did not think about that... I guess that explains it all.

 

I was worried they were phasing out their international online store or something, or that there was a drought before they release the version 3 bodies to empty the stocks..

 

Im sort of glad it is not like that, but I guess it can be hard to find a body now then.
