It only says "DDS Base Body" in the description though. Not Base Body II or something like that. Maybe the body is a custom or photoshopped for the promo pictures.

Damn, I like all of them >_< Anyone need a lung or kidney? Sakura Wars is a definite favorite series in the house so she is must get but I find myself really liking the Idolm@ster DDs as well especially the blond even though I am not familiar with the series.

These girls make me so happy! They're just totally like "HI! Let's be friends!" and so we were.

 

I'll sell my kidney for 20% less then klein's kidney!!!

I know less about Sakura Taisen, mainly because I've yet to play any of the games. I've just watched a little of the anime.

I was really looking forward to Sakura but as Reimu is on my list of girls I'm definately going to buy and I have the DDH06 PPver on the way I'm not sure she'll feel "different enough" but I do know I need her outfit and her wig

 

Haruka just isn't my type >_< I'm not a fan of open mouthed girls. But I'm IN LOVE with her alternative outfit!! (the pretty pink one)

 

And miki is just WOW I live Idolmaster anyway an she is just gorgeous! I wouldn't use we default outfit so will have to open a split and will go from there when we have a price

Very nice! And unexpected.

 

I thought they might make MDD Iris to go with Sakura Shinguuji, but nope, instead we get iM@S! How interesting. They picked Haruka and Miki, probably the top two characters in Japanese chara polls overall, so that makes sense. Though, with twelve main idol girls, there are a lot of other chara possibilities left for later depending on how these two do.

 

Sakura's hometown in the games is Sendai, so releasing her here is appropriate. She does indeed remind me of Reimu (my first thought on seeing her, too). Not that that's bad at all.

 

So, let's see..

 

Sakura: Yep, easy. If you've seen any of my trade requests where I always ask for formal Japanese clothes, then yeah, you'd see right away there's no way I can pass this one up. ^_^

Haruka: Yep, though probably split for the eyes and body only.

Miki: Yep, though possibly split for the head and wig only. Haven't decided as much here if I'd want to keep her character or use her as the basis for another idea.

 

Too bad (for me anyway) they didn't make Chihaya though. Definitely would've kept her as her iM@S character.

Bleerrg wish they had made Chihaya! >___< (but the other gals are quite adorable).

 

But Sakura Wars! TT^TT I want her so bad... well maybe it's more so her outfit, her face just seems a little too plain. It's almost like the Jenny Takara dolls, she's not super expressive or distinctive enough in the face (hope that makes sense! ) Though they did a good job on her battle outfit... /iwant

This Dolpa is looking to be a wallet eating one, just based off of what's been revealed so far. You *know* there's more clothes they're releasing too.

Ah thanks for the heads up! I changed my post to reflect this, got the two names mixed up ^^;; <--- (Obviously knows nothing about the Idolmaster girls hehe)

 

I was wondering, for the new seamless torso does that mean you won't be able to move them at the bust anymore or is the seam just very well hidden now & still able to move the bust? If it's the latter I'll be very interested to see this implemented for other body types :3 I know we only have one picture to go on right now, but since in the picture there isn't any movement shown I was really curious~

I'm pretty sure I'm safe this time around. None of the girls really strike me as something I need in my family so I can easily keep my wallet tucked away. Now, if only I didn't collect their resin kiddos too...>.<; At least I'm safe from the first half! D: Also, outfits. Those things are evil too...

The seamless torso is interesting, I hope we hear more details on the poseability soon. I am not too happy about the new bodies continuing to be sold as parts: if these do become available at the stores, then we have to pay extra and do all the construction work, and the odds are all the parts won't be in stock when you order them, so you have to collect your new girls piecemeal over the period of several months.

 

Miki is cute, but I actually prefer the open mouthed girl! I probably won't go for either, as I am saving up for something else. But I'll be really interested to see what people do with Haruka. I am a little disappointed in Sakura's sculpt: it looks so similar to other Volks sculpts, I was really expecting something a bit more special and unique.

 

Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with these girls!

I think they're all cute, but luckily for my finances they're not my kind of cute. n_n

I'm not a fan of Yoko's sculpt and Miki looks a LOT like yoko , eye shape and nose.

Also not a fan of opened mouth, I don't like Haruka at all -__-' ( it's good to see different faces this time round though )

 

and like Juu-Yuki mentioned Sakura looks a good mix of Yui ( face shape and eye style) + reimu. I think Sakura is the prettiest of all three, but not enough for me to go after her. yay !

 

Other than that, I still want Sakura's warrior outfit , and might want her wig too. Some of the outfits are really pretty.

 

I'm surprised about the new body type of the DDS, is it gonna be a regular thing?
