Hometown Dolpa Sendai

Usually, this event has most items available for those in the US. (If not all dolls/items.) It will most likely be a lottery event, unless they choose a specific DD to be Pre-Order, which who knows if they will or not. I wouldn't put much hope in that though. ( I always assume lottery ^^; ) Outfits are a bit different, and will most likely lead to a click war for most of them, though I think the IdolM@ster ones, and Sakura's battle suit will all be lottery items as well.

We'll have to wait for more official info!

Also, just a personal opinion, but I'm not a fan of one-piece bodies/torsos so I think I'll be avoiding trying to acquire said body. ^^; I'd rather have a weird looking joint then not being able to pose them as much...unless they have some trick up their sleeve?

The biggest concern with a seamless torso is still skeleton breakage and being able to fix it/replace parts. Poseability is a close second. Hopefully Volks will be very forthcoming with extra pics.

 

And gaaahhh! So many lovely clothes. ;_; MUST HAVE Natsuki and Moe's cosplay outfits!!

 

The trick is figuring out how to afford everything. Natsuki v2 takes priority, obviously, but Volks might as well own me... indentured serviture in exchange for dolliehs? Yes please!

Just saw the swimsuit page with the seamless body part. Oooommmggg I want it.

Sakura is probably one of the least tempting characters from Sakura Wars for me. If they'd done Kanna, Maria or Erica, I'd be very tempted. Though, I do think Zoe would love her battle outfit.

 

Miki is very cute and very tempting as are several of her outfits: the pink jacket/gold bra and the white/pink combos would work well with my Aya even if I don't get Miki.

 

Then, there's the swimsuit outfits, the blue bridal outfit and the blue plaid outfit on the last page...

 

This could be expensive!

Miki seems Panty from Panty & Stocking lol. Even the wig is perfect. It would be a great custom

Since Mariko "cosplays" as a character from the fictional show Magical Peach, perhaps Natsuki and Moe are other characters from the same show. ? Outfits are very similar. Almost detective in nature. Milky Holmes anyone?

I was looking forward to Sakura, but I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of the sculpt. Being an IdolM@ster fan, I will probably be in for Miki at least though Haruka doesn't impress me. At certain angles the face looks awesome, but straight on it just doesn't look like her...

 

I already have a custom Haruka, too.

Ed, I think your custom Haruka is MILES better than the Volks version. And I think Miki would work well in your family since you have a Yoko.... those two are very similar in looks in my opinion.

Agreed. The only point for him to get a Haruka is if he likes the outfit she comes with and maybe that special body. Could always try to do a split if someone wants the head.

Sakura looks like Reimu. I think this time i just buy here clothes and wig to let my Reimu cosplay her should be more than enough. Wallet-Kun is safe until October

Kinda nice they're finally putting out the option parts for everything though. I kinda had the feeling that this was probably going to happen. It would explain the lack of DDII bodies.

I was hoping Sakura will have Yuki's make-up, but at the end, she looks like Reimu

 

Volks Dolpa=Volks robbery?

I saw this post yesterday (since then it ballooned!)

 

After doing a quick search last night I immediately fell in love with Miki. She's lovely! We'll have to see if she's in the cards (and if there's money in the bank)

 

I'm LOVING the summer dress and bathing suit sets!!!! Those little shorts are so cute. I'm overall fairly safe (though I do see some shoes that tempt me) so we'll have to see how this goes.

I think you go to a booth and enter your name? At least that's what I've gathered.

I think they have booths for each character or so, and you go to that one.

 

You'll have to ask some of the people that have actually been to a Dolpa...

Was hoping Sakura would look a little different but she is still cute. If her White Battle outfit will be able to fit a large bust (which it doesn't look like it can from the pics) I will try for it.

 

Never watched or played Idolm@ster but Miki looks so cute. She'll pretty much be Panty though if I get her. haha. She is TOO perfect for the role. and the 'seamless' torso looks interesting. but looking closer at Miki's bust line I do believe I see a seem tucked up there. If I have enough money I'll try for her.

 

This will be my first Dolpa so I'm not sure how much time I have but exactly how much time do we have between now and the lottery?

Interesting batch! Looks like Wolfheinrich's guess of the Sakura Taisen release being for DP Sendai was correct. And no sign of that girl we saw floating around earlier, so it's almost certain she was a custom. (I'm stickin' with my guess of her being a Wersaze custom specifically.)

 

Sakura does have a kind of Reimu look to her, though not in a bad way. Looking forward to seeing clearer photos of her.

 

Haruka's not doing it for me, either. Her face lacks the subtlety of Escalayer's open mouth, so it looks kind of flat. I like her eyeballs though. XD

 

Miki, on the other hand, looks awesome! (Craaap, I hope I don't have another for the "pegasus" or "unicorn" list. XD) I too thought she had a Panty vibe--not just the hair, but that slightly smug smirk. And unlike Haruka, she's got enough subtleties to her face that even in these early shots she's pretty expressive.

 

Outfit-wise, I'm liking a lot of the cuts for them (especially Sakura's battle coat and the Idolm@ster girls' plaid uniform thing), but. . . Is it just me, or is the DD outfit set this time around overwhelmingly pink? Especially the Idolm@ster stuff; it's like every one of those outfits is pink! @_@ While I do find Moe's blue Magical School outfit tempting, pretty much everything else is probably getting logged away in the inspiration pile rather than the purchase queue, in large part because of the sheer amount of pinkness.

Seems like the MDDIII and DDdyIII will also be sold in parts at the event like the DDS.... no full bodies still ;~;

That is so funny about the 666th post! I hope the bodies aren't too expensive as parts. I wonder how long it will be till they get to Volks USA.
