I just got my email from Volks USA. I won both the Ruby and Aqua outfits that I entered for. The lottery gods have been very kind to me. XD

Apparently I spoke too soon and I just got an email confirming Rise's glasses.

Wow. Tried to get a DDS internal frame from after event only to find out they didn't restock it! Tried for the WS frame and the site logged me out so I lost it. Maybe in 3 years I will have my DDS girls up and running. At this point wish a competitor would step up and start making vinyl dolls with a similar aesthetic. How do you sell new parts and not have the internal frame to go with them!!!!????? I will keep the rest of my M+++++ rated comments to myself....GRRRRRRRRR

I would keep an eye on the page. I was looking at the parts and saw that the DDdy bust was sold out but they just now restocked it. So definitely keep watching

I was just trying to go for an outfit or two, the whole volks jp site is overloaded right now. I can't tell what's going on other than it refuses to keep me logged in or to accept anything to my cart...

Total wash. Got nothing. I forgot how annoying it was. Lost login cookie at least 3 times and lost cart contents 4 times, started checkout twice only to stall.

The After Event is always an exercise in frustration. Of course the thing I wanted the very most sold out almost instantly... Siiiiigh.

Yep. Got zilch. When I finally got to the product page, everything that I wanted or remotely wanted was sold out already. Oh well.

I had everything I wanted IN MY CART... and the damn site dumped the shopping cart. I tried again, and again it just glitched. This is ridiculous!

Until now I cant get in the Volk's website.

Oddly enough, after the site dropping my login at least 20 times(?!?!?!) , it somehow managed to keep the 2 items in my cart that I managed to put in there. After another 7 times of having to relog into the site I managed to check out.

 

Yellow Bikini Hoodie outfit and the DDDy Pink Striped underwear set order confirmed after 50 minutes of fighting with the site.

 

On a side note I had to take my anxiety meds due to being so angry at the site/click war.

Chill as a cubleepber now, as the one outfit I absolutely wanted is secured, along with one other that I really liked. Time to eat a pint of banana split ice cream to celebrate victory.

 

 

Edit: Note: I would have had the White Frill Bikini set too, but the site dropped my login right before I clicked the add to cart button, so it went to Guest cart instead of mine. Oh well, it's a small sacrifice in the greater war.

I got lucky and got the Yellow Bikini set in my cart (while logged in) before it decided to die on me. Then it was just a matter of waiting for the server load to die down enough to actually place the order, which finally just went through.

 

Their new shopping cart system that they installed a few months back is an absolute disaster. I can't believe how often they drop state both in terms of login and language preference. Their older system was much more reliable. Yes, the server was still badly overloaded, but a failed connection didn't log you out and drop you back to Japanese.

 

Really they need to pay for professional hosting that can handle the load, but like so many other things I'm sure they don't care. They still sell out so why spend extra money to make it seem like you care? I guess I can't argue with the business logic.

I thought I noticed the site acting differently than it used to. I'm just glad that items that make it into an actual user shopping cart get to stay (most of the time).
