What they should have done was just give a ticket with every Rise for the opportunity to purchase the glasses. 0_0 Kind of like the wigs when you buy the books.

You'd think. I had more been thinking about it like the special hands for resins that they put out when those don't match the standard production models. But yeah, basically the same thing.

Generally how long does it take to find out if you won the lottery? When they alert you that you've won is that when they finally charge your credit card? Just curious the time between trying the lottery then saving like mad to make sure I have money to cover it lol

I think the winning emails are sent out about a week after the lottery ends. Volks USA will put a hold on your account when you enter to make sure you have the money then charge you shortly after winners are chosen. Kerbey Lane is different though they ask for a 50% down payment when you win then charge the rest later I believe.

You have to be in the US to go through Kerbey Lane... but if you're on Facebook, look up Kerbey Lane Doll Shop, Rochelle has made a Facebook post about entering for Hometown Dolpa Sendai

I think WLD only does first-come, first-serve, so you need to contact them as soon as possible to get your name up at the top of the list if you want to go through them.

Oh, I know that bit. xD I was just wondering because I never got a email and usually they send them out for events to let folks know what you can enter for. I won't bother this late in the game, obviously, was just wondering if they had even bothered to send out the emails. ^^;

I put in at Kerbey Lane for Sakura, if I win then I will have Sakura if not then it was not meant to be. May still end up jettisoning the body if need be expenses-wise (already have one person state tentative interest).

I will be looking to split Haruka Amami in the future (if I win). I only want her default eyes to test out for a project doll, so everything else will be up for grabs.

 

By the same token, if someone else ends up getting Sakura and I don't, I'd be interested in splitting for her outfit / accessories / wig. It's traditional Japanese style, so you probably expected this .

 

Sadly, the price hike and non-stocking of Miki and Haruka changed my plans for this dolpa completely . Before all that bad news I was going to enter for the three dolls plus a couple of the outfits through the triumvirate of US stores... But now that I've got to enter for the iM@S girls on the international after-event anyway, I may as well get Sakura there too. Now that the prices aren't any different at VolksUSA, there's no reason not to make just one international order to save on shipping.

Best of luck to everyone entering in the lotteries! On the bright side, for those of you going for the international lottery, at least Volks International tends to ship quicker than Volks USA.

 

Miki is super tempting, I love love love her wig and she has such a sassy smile! But the resin is eating up my funds this Dolpa, so I shall just hope for lots of pictures of the vinyl cuties.
