Volks April 2012 Collection in USA store

Got the Sister Dress. I was 5th in line and I got the last one.

Saw the blog about the event today and they put Momoko's picture up wearing the Freesia Flora Set

When I got home I put a little bow in her hair and now she looks like a spoiled princess

I got the MSD/MDD outfit which is all I really wanted, I tried to get a bubble dress set for a friend but it was gone in a micro-second.

I had to rely on the kindness of my friends for this event since I was at a wedding on a boat when this event went live!!! (The wedding was awesome, and the boat was the cherry on the sundae since it was a 3 mast schooner!)

 

Unfortunately the one item I wanted seemed to be what EVERYONE was after: the Balloon Dress set! So despite some courageous efforts it was just not meant to be.

I started refreshing the page every second since 1:50

 

I saw it pop up at 1:58 and got my dress.

I figured we might not all have the exact same time on our clocks ><;

 

Altho I wasn't after anything for myself, I did have a friend ask if I could try for one thing.... The Balloon Dress set. I refreshed the page 1:59pm and the button was up! Those sneaky Volks guys uploaded earlier this time around! I pu tit in my cart, did all my stuff and was finished with checkout in 15 seconds flat.....

 

And still lost it.

 

 

I was extremely disappointed in myself as that set was the only thing my friend REALLY wanted. And I wasn't able to grab it for her. I am really getting more and more disgruntled and annoyed with these damned Click Wars. This is twice I have lost out on items from them. My guess is that if Volks Japan keeps up with their trickery and slack ways, Volks US will MAYBE get one of each outfit for an event and it will be in store only and NOTHING will be available online for the US ever again. At least that's how it feels. Good job Volks, way to keep your customer base happy. I wish we had an emoticon that flipped the bird.....

I do the same thing, I've noticed that the *add to cart* button can pop up at different times.

 

I believe it appeared earlier when the February 2012 Collection went up for sale. That's how I was able to get the Bear Hoodie and the Retro Coat set since I was able to get them in my cart and checkout as soon as the button appeared.

 

I've noticed with bigger events like with the Kyoto 9 collection the *add to cart* button appears later and the site usually gets all wonky. For smaller events it is more on time and the site doesn't tend to mess up. But that could be just me. I am still a bit of a newbie and I haven't took part in a ton of *click wars* to give a better comparison. Let's just say ALL of them seem to go differently and it is just tons of luck and super quick speed to get what you want.

 

Sadly I had to work during this one, so I missed out.

 

I was happy to see some of the Floral Dresses were still in stock when I finally made it home and shockingly the Lost Little Lamb set so I was still able to get those. But for my beloved Balloon Dress set I will have to search high and low for.
