DD Carrying Case - Mixed Tweed

I've heard some rumblings in the past 'bout folks wanting to pick up a carrying case for their dolls and Volks makes some nice ones specifically for DDs for USD $55.00. I picked this one up in sparkly denim before and just love it- I keep my limited supply of clothes in it. lol

 

At any rate, the order date is coming up for Saturday and I thought someone else might be able to benefit form this info! I can't recommend it enough and mixed tweed looks uber sophisticated. ^^

Well, looks like I'm ordering 3 of these =P (One would be a gift for a super secret project). Love the colors and realized that I need something so I can take dolls to metups and cons and whatnot and the price is much better than what this was going for on the aftermarket.

I do warn, this is a fairly feminine looking bag compared to the black lattice version. There's a lot of pink in this tweed.

Pink != Feminine. I wear a lot of pink.

He ends up carrying my super-girlie bags all the time, I doubt a little pink tweed will be a problem!

I was just echoing some of the discussion that took place over the tweed bag in the Volks USA thread. Some of the other forum gentlemen were surprised that their bag had some pink in the tweed and I know two users actually traded tweed for black lattice.

 

I don't think that pink is just for girls, I certainly like to see my fella in pinks and purples, but not ALL men feel that way.

I love me some confident men. It's a nice thing to be around. I always joke with my husband about carrying my dolls but he so doesn't mind it kind of takes the fun out of poking at him about it. He always wins that way. LOL

 

It totally doesn't photograph pink btw, so that's kind of a cool thing about the bag. I don't think I need another one but it's really tempting. I was going to wait until the violin case came back into stock. That thing is super freaking rad. (Am I a musician? No! I am a crazed doll lover). Maybe I'll just break and order one anyhow because I love the soft case design and it makes more sense than the violin case- practically speaking anyhow.

Sam wanted us to get another so a few hours ago I ordered another one. There are still 9 left in stock I just checked.

Well, it looks like once again I won't be getting a carrying case after all lol. Not to say that Volks is out or anything, it's just that my mind's changed . Anyways, I hope everyone who wants one gets one!

I've ordered this bag as well... it was just so pretty XD

 

I actually ordered it because I have a SD16 girl who is a beast to transport... but it will make a wonderful traveling case for my MDD when she arrives

 

I'm really glad to hear all of these excellent reports on it, I've never owned or even seen a Volks brand carrying bag before.

Just a quick update, but for those who ordered when they went up, your orders should have shipped out yesterday. Got shipping information on my 3 and can't wait for em to get in later this week!

I ordered mine through Kerbey Lane... so I'll probably have to wait a couple of extra days, since it has to ship to them first then to me.

Volks only has 3 left in stock as of this morning, so if anyone was thinking about getting one I'd suggest acting fast!

I *finally* got mine, LOL, I have to say, though, I love it.... the quality, the space, the color... perfect!

got mine the other day and it's not as pink as i was led to beleive but it is very nice and i feel so fancy and special walking around carrying my Yoko in her new bag! I also feel so much better having a proper place to store her when I take her around. Especially when i go to the office to film AX-Live, I always just ended up having her sit in the passenger seat and make my boyfriend hold her, but he hated holding her when we'd go through the drive through so having the carrying case will be much better for him too!
