Moments, Part 2: Zoe

 

Me: Hey, turd! Let me on the computer for a bit.

 

Zoe: What? Found a new porn website, pervert?

 

Me: *sigh* Zoe, it's been a long day, so just scoot over.

 

Zoe: Whatever.

 

 

Zoe: So...what happened with the negotiations today?

 

Me: Looks like Saber's wrapped everything up. They're going to release her sister day after tomorrow after a few more tests.

 

Me: She worked out a nice deal considering everything. Morgaine has to have a well..basically a parole officer overseeing her and has some restrictions on travel, but other than that, not much. Saber really twisted the screws on them.

 

 

Me: How's Aya? She was asleep when I got in and didn't think I should wake her.

 

Zoe: She's as shrill and bitchy as always. Seems to have pretty much recovered fully.

 

Me: That's good.

 

Zoe: So, what are we going to do with the bitch queen? Not Aya, that is, but Morg?

 

 

Me: Oh, you changed your hair today, didn't you?

 

Zoe: Yeah, thought I needed a change.

 

Me: It suits you well.

 

Zoe: Of course it does. Now, stop trying to avoid the subject!

 

 

Me: I don't know. Saber's going to want to be with her.

 

Zoe: Is she going to leave us?

 

Me: I don't know. She might..especially if we don't allow her sister to stay here..and I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not.

 

 

Zoe: I don't want Sei-chan to leave.

 

Me: But it's her sister, Zoe. If her sister needs her...

 

Zoe: (muttering)But...she said I'm her sister too.

 

Me: What was that?

 

Zoe: Nothing!

 

 

Zoe: Look! You're her 'master' for whatever reason, so you just tell her not to go and that's that!

 

Me: I can't do that. Well, I could and I think she'd obey, but it wouldn't be right.

 

Zoe: What wouldn't be right?! Sei-chan should stay here with us!

 

Me: I don't want her to go either, but I can't make that decision for her. It's an important one..and if she feels that she needs to go, I don't feel that I should stop her. If she asks, I'll release her from her contract.

 

 

Zoe: Dumbass. *sigh* Why do you have to be reasonable the one time that I don't want you to be?

 

Me: Sorry.

 

Me: So, what about the alternative? How do you feel about letting Morgaine stay with us? It was really you and Aya that took the worst of what she did, so I can't argue if either of you say no.

 

 

Zoe: Look, we both know that she's a bitch and will cause problems. But...

 

Me: But?

 

Zoe: But, it would be worth it to keep Sei-chan here. Plus, with her depowered, I can kick her butt even worse this time and keep her in line.

 

Me: I see. What do you think Aya is going to say?

 

 

Zoe: I don't know. Right now, I think she's happy to be well and ok. But having Morg toy with her like that...I don't think I could forgive her if it was me.

 

Me: I see. I'll talk to her tomorrow.

 

Zoe: She isn't going to be happy about the idea. Oh no!

 

Me: What?

 

 

Zoe: You think she might get mad that we're even considering it and leave as well?

 

Me: I don't think she'd do that.

 

Zoe: But what if she does and then Sei-chan leaves as well?

 

 

Me: I don't think..

 

Zoe: Look! Stop thinking and just do! It's unacceptable for either of them to leave!

 

Me: Zoe, there's no need to panic.

 

Zoe: I'm NOT panicking!

 

 

Me: Don't worry. We'll work it out.

 

Zoe: You better or else!

 

Me: *sigh* Or you'll leave too?

 

Zoe: Nah. You'd never survive without me. I'll just make your life a living hell to punish you.
