New Sailor Moon anime coming in 2013!

A reboot, more faithful to the manga.

 

I'm a little excited.

 

 

I really hope we get new figures, 1/6 dolls and dare I even hope . . . DDs?

BTW I'm just watching Sailor Moon with my daughter (the real one ) for the first time in my life.

Took me a while to finally get to it...

Zomg. O__O a few months ago I fivly got the last DVDs to complete my collection of the series. Can't wait for this new one!

Whoa, crazy! This could be really awesome. I did like the first series, once I tracked it down in subtitles online. (The American dub, however, is a travesty.) It'll be interesting to see how they handle the time that's passed--will they bring it into the 21st century, or are they going to set it in the 90's?

 

Am I alone in hoping that this series will follow current anime trends in being wiiiiidescreeeen?

Oh my gosh, I'm super-excited! Sailormoon was the first anime I ever fell in love with, and the manga is so incredible. I will definitely be watching this one!

No, it's not. That's 20 years *Japan Time*, which everyone knows is about five years and one day in the future relative to the rest of the planet.

Seriously though, I think most of us didn't encounter the series until the English dubs started coming out, which were released several years after the original Japanese airing. So while it's existed for twenty years, that doesn't mean that many of us were actually *aware* of it for that full twenty years.

 

And now I wonder if they'll do a completely new theme song, or revamp that incredibly catchy old one.

OMG, I've been waiting for this since the manga was re-released! Sailor Moon was my introduction to anime and it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I saw that on animenewsnetwork yesterday. I really hope they will show the manga version this time so we can see something different. I don't like the manga version (I die in it :E) but as I said, something different

Well, now I have a big grin on my face watched so much sailor moon in my third year of uni. Much approval for the revival of 20 year old anime And I am looking forward to the dolly merch (all scales) that will no doubt appear.

I'm a HUGE Sailor Moon fan and this news is amazing!!! I'm sooooooooooo excited to see this!!!!!!

 

I have lots of love for Sailor Moon since it's the series that got me hooked on anime.

 

I will so be watching this when it is made available. It will be so exciting to see how they do this new version.

I'm really excited about this~ Sailor Moon is my first love. ♥ I hope that they'll re-release the English-subtitled DVDs as part of this celebration of Sailor Moon. Like the excitement from "Sailor Moon World," but not limited to Japan. This is something I've been hoping for since the anime started re-airing in Italy. ♥

I wonder whether the new series will look the same or if they're going to redo the character art.

I am really looking forward to this. I absolutely love sailor moon and have so many cosplays planned and complete from it that I'm really happy it's going to get a reboot. We will se many more cosplays and maybe more variations.

Honestly though if they make any DD's of the characters it really will be a case of "shut up Volks and take my money!"

My girlfriend is SO looking forward to this (she also collects these old bandai toys, wands etc.), while I was more "Oh, does Naoko need money again?*eyes roll*".

I'm still looking forward to it though, I'm just not much a fan of milking a cow again and again and again and again (like...Final Fantasy 7)

I really love Sailor Moon too.. I will definitely cave if figures and nendos come out.

It was the first anime that I saw. if they make 200 series again it will be a very long time to wait for the ending ))

I just hope that it lives up to the expectations that everyone will be having for it. Sailor Moon was my intro to anime waaay back when so I'm squealing that it's getting a fresh reboot, but I just hope that it doesn't do that reboot thing where it falls flat on its face.

I never had the opportunity see any of the Sailor Moon anime. I read the first few of the manga when I was able to get my hands on them, though, and it always left me wanting more. If this is even pretty good, it would be wonderful to me. That being said, I'm pretty sure they know how rabid a big part of the fanbase is, so I'm sure they will likely be VERY careful not to totally screw it up, lest they be crucified.
