Perfect ^__^ if I win her in the lottery is there anyone I could pay a fee to to have her shipped to them and then onto me? (Someone who wouldn't recieve customs)

I think I'm like...the only one kind of disappointed. I've been really really excited for her release...until I saw her photos. The more photos I see of her, the less I actually want her. These latest ones for example the mouth looks kind of odd to me, on top of how she looks like a slightly modded 07 head. Should I be disappointed or relieved is anyone's guess. But oh well, there will always be another limited down the road xD

Yay, so I'm not the only one with those sentiments after all ^^;

I usually don't say anything if I feel like a particular DD is not my type because there are plenty of others who do love her. I suppose it is like cooking. Not everyone likes to eat the same thing. It is usually more fun to say the things you like rather than the things you don't. But in this case, it is also good to let others know they aren't the only one who doesn't like something. I was wondering if there is something wrong with me too, but a friend of mine also joked and made the clichéd comment that "his wallet is safe this time too" despite Aoko being initially very anticipated.

hahaha, well, nobody will get mad at you for saying your wallet is breathing a (temporary) sigh of relief from being empty is how I see it XD lord knows most of us spend enough money on this hobby as it is :p

maybe she got overhyped and the end result did not meet that expectation.

She was perfectly hyped for me. A saucier 07 is fine too!

Not at the Dolpa itself. The Dolpa works as first come, first serve, once everyone draws numbers for their slot in line. But for the after event (the way most people will get her) online, yes. It's a lottery. The after event typically happens a few weeks after the Dolpa itself.

Aoko looks similar to Rin to me. She's not too expensive either, too bad I have bad luck with the lotteries.

I will wait for more pics. Volks pictures sometimes doesn't do justice to their dolls... Besides that, the make-up in the mouth area looks stronger on some pics, and weaker in others....

 

If I get her, probably will be my first to not keep her original character... if I manage to gather the money for her and the tax...

I wish they'd made the older version of Aoko from Tsukihime and the other Type-Moon series. Then we probably would've gotten a doll a lot like Tamaki. As it stands, she's nice, but too close to my Beato, I think.

I'm a huge Type-Moon fan so I'll be getting her for sure! If I lose lottery I guess it will be auction time.

I actually really, really want her. I can guarantee I'll try for her in the After Event if she's available. Not sure I'll have ANY luck, but... D: I'm smitten with her- looks like Mariko may have to wait!

Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce "Aoko"? Is it "Ah-oh-ko" or "Ow-ko"? Or something else?

Giving my little knowledge in Japanese, I'd say "Ah-oh-ko".

"A" and "O" in Japanese have their separate characters and they do not mix to make other sounds.

"-Ko" like in "Korea"

The name will be written (in hiragana, for example) A-O-Ko = あ お こ

and most likely means "Blue (Aoi) child (Ko)"
