Hello from New York

Hello all.

 

Been a long time lurker on Danny's site and he's probably the main reason I broke down ... I mean, got into figures and finally DDs. *Me and my wallet is shaking our fists at Danny* Hahaha.

 

Sort of getting back into photography and I decided to finally start taking pictures of my DDs. Used to mostly do sports related stuff since that's what I was heavily involved in so this still stuff is kind of hard. Hope to get better at it but it'll definitely be a slow process.

 

Currently, my DD "gang" consists of Mari Makinami, Saber Lily, Airy, Haruka Niima and Sakuya/Maxima will be in route. I may cave for Sakura (got a thing for swords) but Miki is also on the short list. Might have to choose one, if any, since this year has been rough (other unforeseen expenses).

 

Anyhow, just wanted at least greet everyone. I'll probably lurk more than post but if there is a meet or whatnot, I would probably my best to attend. Want to see and get ideas for my DDs. I do have a Flickr account under the same user name and I will slowly add pictures to that.

Still need quite a bit of work on my indoor photography skills and maybe some additional equipment/lights but I'll try to do my best with what I currently have. One thing I might cave for is a new DSLR body since I do have a good flash for it but the body is a bit outdated.

You have a NEX-5N? For any DD shooting, get a good lens and You're set.

Maybe even a manual one and/or from other system with an adapter.

Zeiss/Contax comes to mind

Or maybe You even have some good glass already for the DLSR? NEX adapters are plenty of types.
