For people like me who've never been to Japan this is the first time I've seen a TV crew go in. And they also discuss doll culture with a panel of foreigners. Innocentsake Posted July 26, 2012 Since I really wanted to watch the part where they go into Volks Japan I searched and searched! And finally I found a blog which has the episode for download: http://www.hellofuntime.com/2012/07/cool-japan-20120707-akihabara.html#more You only need to download Part 1 of 2 because Part 2 is the same thing as Part 1 (not sure why they did that). It's 44 minutes and the small part on Volks is in the beginning (4:14 to 6:08) and they start discussing DDs later on (14:20 to 18:20). What I found interesting was they had people from different countries talking about the places they visited in the show. Though I really wish they had found a better mix of people. The guys seem to be pretty open to the things & places that are reviewed while all the women are downers and not very open to anything. Which would've been fine if they had also gotten women who embraced the things they went over (DDs/Idols/Electric Town). But it was interesting overall and I smiled happily when they went into the Volks store~ I also found the dubbing of voices in this episode pretty hilarious. I think I would've rather had the people dubbing just talk normally instead of trying to emulate the Japanese people they were voicing over.
