VMF50 & Angel Philia Discussion Thread (nsfw, doll nudity)

Recommended Posts

monkeypizzasonic

Hello all, I was browsing around and absolutely fell in love with the body on this Angel Philia Miu here (buff girls yay!). How would I go about looking for one of these? Search Mandrake for the body specifically? Post in the marketplace here? A lot of the links to the main sites on the first post are broken, so I'm not sure if they sell parts for this separately or where I would look for them.

Mandarake Sahra seems to have her. Not in perfect condition, though.

The muscle body type, yes. On FaithZ... no.

I've spotted new ones on Mandarake (nakano) sometime ago:

https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1110676033&ref=list&dispCount=240&categoryCode=020114&keyword=angelphilia&lang=en

but it's sold out.

They still have the tan/brown version, if you're interested:

https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1110675890&ref=list&dispCount=240&categoryCode=020114&keyword=angelphilia&lang=en

Otherwise some patience is needed, the chances on mandarake are good.

FaithZ does seem to have the muscle arm/leg parts in stock though...could I mod those onto another Angel Phillia body, or even a normal Obitsu 50 body? I'm not too worried about the joints looking weird, since I can cover them up with the right outfit, I'm more worried about the fit.

(I do really want that body but I just do not have the cash to spend on shipping an entire body from Japan rn...)

That's the Type B body originally released by Yamato Toy Company. The type B was the second ever VMF50 release back at the dawn of vinyl.

All Type B parts are completely physically compatible with any Obi 50cm body. The leg parts might be too long for 48cm bodies, depending on what "bones" (pegs) you have between joint parts.

Nice! I think I'll try that. It'll be a lot easier on my wallet. 😅 Thank you!

Indeed, I'm part of that crowd, dragged in the doll market by the sexual vibe of AP/PDs. It's a matter of taste. But I don't like some extreme lewd expression/faceup. I've found recently an AMI head (Concept Girl #5), good for variety

Aaaaand it's about time for a new photo set of Marie (speaking of lewd faces... but I really like her).

This time at the beach!! (I love this background)

This time:

Optional Parts: G bust (Soft Skin), flat feet.

Wig: Semilong straight light brown - S size (Himekazura)

Dress and accessories: blue striped lingerie set - SD size M bust (Volks, linea Tenshi no Koromo), bracelets (unknown brand), sunglasses - SD size (unknown brand), blue popsicle (unknown brand), dolphin hat - SD size (unknown brand)

Yes, it's a hat...

The M size bra it's too little even with a G bust, but it works somehow (barely). Otherwise the sunglasses are too big for her head (obviously, they were designed for SD head. Early impulse buy...).

I'm glad I've found a popsicle, so I can put her tongue to a good use without lewdness involved.

I know this post is from last year but, which lower torso is this one? I'M IN LOVE

This thread is really interesting, and it's made me consider getting a girl of my own.

I currently have an Obitsu 50 body that I'm not using - I like the mechanics of the body, but not so much the aesthetics of it - so I was thinking of replacing some of the vinyl parts with AP ones. The only issue would be getting hold of a head since they don't seem to crop up on their own too often, although I see the AP website has the H-Type blank heads in stock - I'd need to use a proxy for that right?

Is there a comparison photo somewhere of the different thigh parts, like there is for the busts? Atm I'm considering the C or E type hips/thighs; I like the H type but suspect that finding clothes to fit those legs is much trickier...

A note about reskin an Obitsu50.

I'm pratically trying to build a doll from scratch and spare parts (still missing 2 arms XD), I have 2 Obitsu50 legs and... Angel Philia are based on Obitsu48. The 2cm difference is all in the legs, so if you want to put an Angel Philia thigh on the Obitsu50 skeleton, you must cut and adapt in lenght (I don't know how much and where atm, probably one on the thigh and one on the shin, but I've seen K2 post it somewhere).

About heads... yes, they're very rare to pop in the secondhand market, I've seen them only on Yahoo Auction Japan, very priced.

I'm head hunting for some Angel Philia heads, without fortune for now, I've only managed to put my hands on AMI and ERI's heads on Mandarake (and a pair of Obitsu50 heads too).

Anyway you'll need a proxy for YAJ and of course for the offial AP store. You don't need it for FaithZ, but they don't sell heads, at least not for now.

I don't have photo comparison other than the ones you can see in the products pages on FaithZ etc.

When I've bought Marie I was thinking that H thighs would be too beefy, but once in hand they are less beefy than expected. Anyway for me, C hip-C thigh is a wonderful combination, more armonious.

https://denofangels.com/threads/400-–-angel-philia-nemu-full-doll-normal.815095/

There's an Angel Philia Nemu up for sale on DoA for $400.

Thought I'd drop it in the thread since I seem to have become the unofficial "person who updates the DoA vinyl auctions threads since I tend to browse the marketplace a lot when I'm bored".

Also a question: are VMF/Angel Philia heads smaller in scale than Obitsu 48/50 heads? Because I was thinking of getting a 48cm Granado boy to go with my eventual Obitsu50/VMF50 hybrid girl, and I was planning to use an Obitsu head for her since they're way easier to get separately, but since Granado's tend towards realism I'm worried it's going to look weird next to him...

Nemu pop up very often on Mandarake too. Various conditions, circa 40000 yen.

And yes, Obitsu50 heads are larger and more anime-like in proportion than Angel Philia heads:

Here is Marie with an Obitsu50-04 head. If for her standard head I must use wig S or MS  in size, according to the Himekazura brand, for the Obitsu50 head, or at least for the 50-04 head, I must use a L size wig.

Yeah I did wonder if I'd need to do some modifications to the skeleton at some point. That's okay, I don't mind doing a bit of doll surgery, and it'll be interesting to have a go. I'll have to see if I can find K2's post about it.

I love the amount of body options available for these dolls, although it does make it difficult to decide on which to go for lol. Still not completely sure which head to pick, although I like the M & H type heads. Thanks for the feedback on the H thighs - it's kinda hard to tell from the photos quite how they would look in person. I think a larger bust would work well with them and balance them out. C-Type body is probably my favourite overall though.

Mandarake currently has a doll I've been eyeing (Mana) who I'm super tempted to buy, and then there's a Lena on FaithZ who has pretty much the exact body configuration I'd go for. 😅 Argh, so many decisions to make!

Are we allowed to talk about potential splits here?

I've been browsing through the thread and @yokha has caused me to absolutely fall in love with the type J head. And there's a tan soft-skin Emma up on FaithZ right now...but I'm low on funds and since I'd probably be swapping out body parts for type-B anyway, I'd be open to spliting with someone who wants all the rest of it: body, extra hands and feet, eyes and wig.

She's about $450 I think? So what price would you guys consider reasonable for splits?

Question: should I be worried about FaithZ selling out of the parts I want? I know full bodies and heads are hard to come by, but are arm and leg parts usually kept in stock? I'm trying to prioritize my spending for the next few months/dolls and I don't want to panic and throw $150 worth of stuff (+ $60-70 worth of outfits) on layaway before I finish working on getting stuff for the dolls I have now.

(Parts I want being b-type arms, shins and thighs.)

@Majikaru-Rin Good because I have some resin babies I've been wanting for ages that I want to put on layaway first.

Congrats on your new girl, she's lovely! Happy dollmas!
