Does anyone have AP C-type thigh measurements?
 

They match the color of my DP60 set along AP soft skin arm set I want perfectly, but I’m unsure if they’re 50cm compatible. I found 50cm compatible thighs but the colors are either too tan or too yellow for what I’m looking for!

I think (I can't misure them now) that they're 1 cm too short. AP legs are 2 cm shorter than Obitsu50 (they are Obitsu48 and the height difference is all in the legs).

To fit Obitsu50 legs on AP thighs one must do some adjustement cutting the plastic rod that goes from the hip to the knee and the inferior one too IIRC.

I got the skeleton frame parts I order from Parabox but they send me something I didn’t order instead of something I did order.  They send me feet instead of the elbows joints I need it. I already contacted Parabox I hope that are able to fix their mistake. So for now my Abuelita body won’t have arms

But well I decided to assemble the body with the parts I had anyways and I did it. Now that I had the “proper” tools assembling the body was easier. The only problem was one foot wouldn’t budge not even after warming it up so I got tired and slice the back with an exacto knife. I’m sure it would come back and bite me in the ass some day 😝

I have a question! I have two dolls which I got secondhand, other one is 100% AP and another one is AP/Obitsu hybrid. I got also spare pair of thighs with them and started to look that what type those are, by comparing to FaithZ option parts photos. I was already sure that those are type-g but I noticed that there's text "yamato-g" on the top of these. Are those excatly the same thing?

I think yes, 'cause the G-type body it's old enough, from when Yamato was still Yamato and not yet Arcadia. Introduced IIRC with VMF50s.

Where do you buy new APs from? I checked Mandarake’s ARK doll section and FaithZ. Neither have a wide selection of APs to choose from.. APs are expensive both new and used! An AP vinyl exterior skin set is about $180 on Mandarake. It can use Obitsu 48 and 48.5 frame parts, right? I saw a 50cm AP body parts, but they were super muscular and not what I was looking for. 

@baldylox Thank you but I didn’t pose her that’s the only pose she can make because she came with the twisted torso. So you will see that pose all the time on her 😛 LOL

Realized that I haven't shared any of my dolls yet. I got this secondhand and she had this faceup as I bought her. So no, I don't know the story behind her nose  😅

My other AP does not have faceup or proper wig yet

I LOVE freckles. She looks so pretty and I love her big fluffy hair. That’s okay you can still share her without face up. I do it all the time LOL

I like the C2 bust as well. Is the first large bust I got for my first AP. I love that it looks very natural. But then My second AP has the huge ones and felt in love with the look of it

 

An update My Cempasúchil got her forever wig. I really like this color and style of wig on her

I bought mine from Mandarake brand new. The only other place besides Mandarake that I know sells new AP girls is FaithZ. So I cannot be of much help those are the only two sites I know that sell new AP. The third option is directly in Japan.

 

Yes, the tan AP kit set from Mandarake can use the 50cm obitsu skeleton. I bought two of those sets and used the Obitsu skeleton frame to put it together. The only set available in Mandarake is the tan one so you will have to use the whitey skeleton but I don’t think it looks that bad. Also the leg skeleton frame is a little big so you will have to modify. You will have to cut 1cm from the top and 2cm from the bottom to make it look perfect. I hope this help.

 

This is a picture of my custom AP girl I put together with the tan kit they sale in Mandarake as you can see her skeleton parts are lighter than my other AP girls but it doesn’t look that bad.

I only buy on Mandarake, it's only a matter of time. New ones came out *brand new* as soon as they're released on the market, for the second hands it's luck + patience.

 

For the price, I've choose AP cause their price is 40-50k yen vs the 80-200k of a DD... and I find them very affordable in comparison.

omg she looks so cute I love the wig I am a sucker for orange hair and that dress is super cute
