I see soft skin mentioned on these dolls. Does this mean it's a thinner material? (flimsy/cheaper quality vinyl?)

When I stuffed Mai, I stuffed her thighs by filling them prior to re-attaching them to the torso. I used polyester batting, pulled out a bit at a time, balled it up and inserted it bit by bit, squeezing every few applications to test "firmness" until I reached the desired amount of "spring". Too much can reduce flexibility, but each person's preference will differ. This applies more so to the torso where stuffing too much can reduce your girl's ability to sit or bend over.

It's a thinner material, but it's not necessarily cheaper or lower quality. Thinner vinyl is more flexible, allowing AP dolls to get into poses that others can't, and for some, the softness in itself is a perk because it makes the dolls feel more "real" than ones that are rigid.

@chef_mai So that's why those dolls are so expensive.

Also do the H thighs fit parabox's torso well or would I need the torso too?

The head is type L and the face-up is Misaki.

I don't think the thighs would fit on anything except another AP torso (only type H or C). Even if they did, it'd look and feel inconsistent with the rest of the body.

I used cotton balls to stuff my soft AP. The bust is easy to stuff if is the huge busts. For the torso and thighs I cut small pieces of the cotton ball. Press the soft part of the body until I see a small gap and with a knitting needle I push the cotton inside. I do it multiple times until the soft part feels a little bit firm. I don’t over do it because then it make it hard to pose. I hope it makes sense

I made an oopsie! well sort of an oppsie. I made a piece of clothing for my doll, and made sure to wash it to get the loose dye out. Apparently not enough came out and she got stained a bit here and there. It's not "scream and cry" horrible at all, but I know it's there. What is the best and gentlest way of stain removal with a soft skin AP without completely ripping off the blushing?

If the stains are small and not super prominent in color, then the safest way is to wait. - Just as the pigment diffuses from the clothing into the vinyl, it will continue to diffuse throughout and therefore appear fainter and fainter. Depending on the size of the stain and the mobility of the pigments, it should be gone after 3-6 months. - Worked for all the occasional mystery stains that my Ellie has picked up until now.

 

If you don't want to wait this long and the stain is not immediately next to a blushed area, you could try and rub the area with the corner of a melamine sponge (magic eraser). If the stain is fresh and only on the surface, this might be enough. But be careful: AP soft skin is not very thick, if you rub too much or too often, you might go completely through.

Similarly, if the stain is not immediately next to a blushed area, you could try a tiny dab of Dream Rescue (or your preferred formula of stain treatment creme). Keep the treated area face down, so that no droplets of the creme can run off to a blushed area and apply only a tiny bit with e.g. a tip of a needle. Edit: And don't bother wrapping in cling film etc.

Hmm, ok. I'll play the waiting game first since they say patience is a virtue. And it's light enough that it's not a massive emergency. But if I do run out of patience power I'll try that. Is there a difference using it on AP soft skin than the harder vinyl?

lmao, I purchased the entire set of these and the Sailor sets.  I can't believe I haven't put any on my AP, especially since I upgraded her bust this weekend.  

I can also vouch for waiting it out. Mai picked up a mystery stain on her thigh (that I still never figured out the source of). It took some time, but a few months later, it's gone.

Emma is up on Mandrake, so I bit the bullet and brought her even though I really shouldn't have...but she's been my grail AP for ages.

a few pics i took of haku a couple weeks back to show off her new stand, underwear, stockings, and shoes! underwear is msd size (works fine for the smaller busts), stand is also msd size, and the boots and stockings are both sd size. the boots are definitely too big for her, i shouldve ordered msd size, but since theyre boots and not open top shoes i think it still looks okay.

its actually from aliexpress! heres the link, haku is wearing the lavender color. i ordered the 6-7in size and its a little bit snug but it stays on well without a silicone cap. its not the best quality in the world, but for a $15 aliexpress wig itll definitely get you by, and i recommend getting it if this is the color youre after!

if you want something a little higher quality (but definitely a little more expensive), leekeworld makes a few similar colors. i would say haku's wig is probably closest to their pink cocktail color.

Emma part 1! She's so pretty and I love the tan! Also got some of the tattoo c-type thighs off Mandrake, so at some point I'd like to grab matching torso and bigger chest and redo her body, but that's not gonna be for a while. 

Part 2! Throwing together some quick looks until I figure her out. I need to stick the eyes in better, they keep moving. 

I think she might end up as a fox spirit.
