I changed Meigana’s eyes and wig for the first time in a long time! She looks mostly ghostly..

In other news, I now have 9 dolls in my collection including my grail doll GONN 9.0 which is a Dream Choice DDdy with the DCH-24 M02 head sculpt and faceup type in Tan and a separate DDdy body for my flesh DD. Nicki is still incomplete without tan shins..
 

I still have yet to take pictures of everybody together.

Yeah, I saw a few on mandarake. Hope some more come back in stock ^_^

The range of "wearability" is variable. Obitsu50 dresses are a good choice too, and sometimes even SD-intended dresses... The trouble cames when giganormous boobs are involved.

I've extensively described (where possible) every dress used on my photoshoots.

Perhaps a bit late for me to ask this but I was wondering if anyone here has put a Dollfie Dream head onto an AP body before? Only a bit late because I already have a blank DDH-10 head on the way, but I'm sure it'll be fine.  I'm just curious if anyone's tried that here ^^

I'm also interested to see if anyone has a comparison between Volks flesh and AP tan? I'm sure it won't match very well, but I'm wondering if it's within a range where the head could be blushed enough to match, or if I should look into getting a whitey AP body. Thanks!

A bunch of us have mounted a DD head to an AP or Obitsu body. You have to remove a part from the neck connector to make it work or buy an adapter if that's too troublesome. Either way, both methods will work.

Volks flesh matches pretty closely to Obitsu/AP whitey. It won't match AP tan too well.

Which bust will she have? The big ones are harder to shop for. If it's the smaller ones, a lot of Obitsu 50, AZO2 or even some MDD clothing will work.

My package actually ended up arriving earlier today! I think the color difference isn't as much as I thought it'd be, definitely something I can work with with a faceup and a lot of brown/orangey pastels. I was anticipating it being even more different. Like, it doesn't match yet of course but I think I can get it there.

I really like the proportions!! I think DDH-10 is a good fit for the body 😊

I did find a cute outfit for MSD/MDD on Etsy, but unsure if it will fit.
Unfortunately the seller hasn't put any measurements, but they have one for MSD, and the same also in MDD as well.

Yay for more Ellle/Ellie owners!

As long as it doesn't have pants/trousers (the type H torso hips are too wide), most clothing intended for the standard Azone 48/50 should be a decent fit.
Skirts for this size will work but may sit a bit higher.
I've found that most Azone 45 stuff also fits my Ellie, but it may sit a bit tight.
Azo2 stuff will likely be too baggy in the bust area (but might be a better fit on the hips?)

Volks stuff for DDP also fits well, again apart from pants/trousers.
For underpants or shorts, standard DD or Smart Doll size items usually work fine. Full length trousers will be too long (and likely too tight for the type H thighs).

Adela x Oshare-Yoiko-Do are behind many of the outfits sold on the AP website and from time to time their stuff ends up on Mandarake. So it can't hurt to keep an eye out: https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/listPage/list?keyword=Adela×おしゃれ良い子堂
They also have a booth (unfortunately closed right now) where they also sell the outfits in multiple sizes.

It doesn't look like they're officially shipping overseas. You might need a proxy to order from them.
Currently they're making stuff mostly for 60cm dolls. - That might still fit on an AP, but not necessarily always. If you're eyeing a specific outfit let me know, If I have it, I can try the fit on my Ellie.
In their 50cm sections, you should look for stuff that's labelled for type H.

TcDoll stuff also regularly finds its way to Mandarake, which should make ordering much easier. And you might even find some old AP-size versions of several outfits there.

Elle is so dang cute!! I've been wanting to get an AP for ages, and Elle is the one who definitely caught my eye!

This is super helpful, thanks!! I do think that my best bet is to blush the head darker to match the tan color based on this, It'd be difficult to blush it with yellow tones to reach the whitey shade, I think, without going too dark ^^

Well, I’m finally off my angel Philia dry spell, gonna build an even more evil twin sister for Moon (aka megatron). I have DDH01 angel Philia hybrid on my list.

I lurk this thread a lot but I finally got both my Obitsu 50-06's on AP bodies so I can contribute!

If its ok to ask, would be possible for someone to compare AP bust to DDS?

Hello! I’m getting an AP Sizuka in a couple of months (technically she’s already here but I have to wait for my birthday). She’ll be my first full vinyl doll. I really want her to wear black clothes but I am afraid of staining her. Is it possible to wash the clothes and prevent staining, or do I just have to be very careful with how long she wears dark colors?

Some people have had luck washing clothes to prevent staining, but supposedly there is no way to truly stop the dyes from leaking, so there’s always the risk that she will pick up stains from somewhere (it doesn’t even have to be from the clothing itself—if you handle the clothes and the dye gets on your hands, it can transfer from your hands to the doll, even if you can’t see it).

Since AP has body blushing and that’s a large part of what makes them so special, my recommendation (if you have the funds) is to buy a blank body in the same colour from Obitsu and use that for any clothes prone to staining.

The upside to this is that standard Obitsu bodies don’t have the ridiculous proportions that AP bodies do, so she will fit into more clothing and will look better, and you can preserve the AP body in all its painted glory.
