@POMNYAN You did great with those lashes, your effort and struggle definitely weren't a waste. I love her cute little phone too, I've been having a hard time trying to find ones like that.

Has anyone ever tried hybriding a tan AP body with a resin BJD head? I imagine a skin tone match might be difficult to find. If anyone here also collects tan BJDs I'd love to see any comparisons between company skin tones.

I have not personally tried hybriding an AP body with a resin BJD head - though I know it is plenty doable with some modifications. I've seen some 3D printed neck adapters floating around, that might be a good avenue to explore.

What I can (hopefully) help with is a small comparison of colors. Tan resin is notoriously hard to photograph, but I have tried to get these at least relatively accurate in terms of how they compare to one another. They are all a touch darker & richer in color saturation in-person.

Overall, I don't think you'll have an exceptionally hard time finding a match. I would say, if anything, veer closer to more gold-toned tans, as opposed to peachy or pink toned. In-person, my AP brown leans more towards my very golden R.Dean head, than my surprisingly pink-ish Milk/Honey Brown. That said, they are all reasonably close, easily within blushing range. Hope this helps!

Thanks so, so much, that's super helpful! I'm guessing the tan on the APs is fairly light then? Depending on the photo it ranges from quite dark to practically normal-skin level light.

I'm glad I could help! 🌹 I would definitely classify the AP tan as a light tan, yes. Most company's "tan" offerings will come closer to this color, I find. It's extremely fickle & hard to photograph accurately, all of my tans are.

Another reference I forgot to add (as I no longer have it, but have handled it previously) is DF-H's "Tanned (Imported)" resin, which would be a very close/comfortable match as well, I think - it was right about between my R.Dean New Tawny head & my Impldoll Brown head.

For context re; being a light tan, I also have Granado's Bronze & some LLT Tan - both of which are considerably darker and would not match at all.

Aww thank you so much! Yeah cute little flip phones are really hard to find. The ones I have are from a docomo gacha that I found on Buyee. If you're okay with using a proxy I'm sure you can find some on Buyee!

I recently cut down the eye wells for one of my girls because getting eyes in and out is such a challenge for me. I blow-dried the head which made it easier/softer to cut but I was wondering if there was an easier way of doing this? I'm just so scared of accidentally cutting through the head by mistake. 😓

When I got my first girl recently I found it really hard to change her eyes because of the eye wells, so I cut a slit into them and it really helped. I just took an x-acto knife to the top of the eye wells. Maybe in a future doll you can try that?

I can attest that the Bonelace neck adapter from Shapeways works well for a resin head hybrid!
I'm waiting on a tv head to arrive, so I can try it on my AP girl. I'll absolutely share pics here when the parts come in.

If anyone is interested, I can try different heads I have on my AP body with the neck connector, to see what is a good fit size-wise.

Yes! If you have the time, that would be fantastic.

On another note, does anyone know if the C size busts work on the H torsos? I know some of the official models use that combo but I've also heard that it isn't a great fit, and even with the official ones there's some compression.

It's tighter than ideal, but they fit and are officially endorsed by the maker as compatible. Ditto for the other way around.

Does anyone own both a mochi-ashi and an Angel Philia with type-C thighs? I want to know if their girth/circumference is about the same.

Ok I can do that when I have vacation time soon. I'll try what I have on the AP body. 
I know I did try a SMD cortex head on the AP body and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Thanks @chef_mai for the torso info! I wanted to get a C bust for my girl eventually, but wasn't sure if it would fit.

On that note, does anyone know if the E bust will work on the H torso or if I'll need a new torso for my girl? I got her C thighs and they fit well so I'd rather not have to change the torso but...

I can't say for sure, but the E looks like it's the standard Obitsu torso width, so it'll probably be a tight fit. Do you already have it in hand?

Not yet, I'm having trouble tracking one down. I wanted my girl to have a bigger chest than she came with but not big like AP big haha.

Alternatively if anyone has a photo of a girl wearing a type G bust I'd really appreciate it, since that one is compatible with the H torso according to FaithZ, but I'm having trouble visualizing it with just the piece on its own.

I'l be honest - you're going to have a hard time tracking one of those down. If you want something of that size, you're better off looking at a non-AP bust like an AZO2-G, Obitsu Large or Dollypop Large.

The G bust is shown here. It's a lot bigger than the one you're trying to look for. If you like it, I vaguely remember seeing it for sale on the marketplace here.

Hmmm yeah it is a lot bigger. I'll have to think on it a bit. The character is supposed to have a big chest but I don't want it to look too giant either. Thanks for the reference!

How about the type A, does that fit a type H torso? It might just be me but I feel like it's slightly smaller than the G bust, or at least less pointy.

Type A hasn't been done in quite some time, so you're unlikely to find one outside of a fullset sold secondhand. Right now, the busts being produced are mainly the various C & H types with occasional restocks of G.
