Honestly, I think that’s a good plan, especially if you’re interested in the head sculpt too— the lower I torso piece in particular I found difficult to get when it dropped on Quarantotto a few months ago (for mine I ended up just paying a serious markup on yahoo auctions Japan because I was desperate to have it…) 

As an aside, all these posts about making a boy AP inspired me to start on another one LOL (I can never have too many AP dolls apparently 😉)

Yeah, I just noticed myself looking at pictures of the I body often, being sort of torn ... initially I felt the torso is too toned for me, but I've seen quite a few photos now where with the right clothes and presentation it looks a lot more "meaty", which I think is cute ... I like the tummy a lot.

I went through some loopholes, namely VPNs to even be able to access RAPs online store to snatch that link for the proxy, haha.

And I'm excited to see what I can do with that H head, it's the only more adult head sculpt I like from the APs, with me not being a fan of the semi-realistic ones. I'm thinking of doing an open mouth mod, something a little smiley, maybe even a bit of adjustment of the eye shape ... but I'll probably more likely manipulate that with the faceup rather than modding.

I have an I body! The thighs, torso, and tummy at least. I don't remember what letter my head is, let me check my records...J! Mine is a woman though, so that face is definitely more feminine. I honestly even like the more ridiculous faces, I've seen people do some cute creative things with them like them showing off tongue piercings or as vampires.

I'm rambling a little, but I just got some frame parts for my Angelphilia girl too! Just have the neck, torso, and hip ball parts right now. It's a long way to finishing her up....is getting Angelphilia arms/shins/hands worth it or is Obitsu versions fine?

The J sculpt is SO feminine (and so pretty)! Honestly it’s the only sculpt I can’t really imagine as a boy (that being said, I’d be super curious if someone has pulled it off).

I feel like it’s a controversial opinion but I like the more ridiculous AP faces the best! 😝 I recently got an R face and it’s definitely not for everyone but I really like it!!

 

I think the obitsu versions of the arms/shins might be a bit too long (if I’m remembering correctly) hopefully someone else can chime in about how they’ll fit on the skeleton because I’ve never tried it. 
The obitsu version of hands will definitely work fine though.

I swapped out my Azone Alice’s bust, torso and thighs for AP parts, and they look fine together with the stock Obitsu arms and shins.

I was getting really sick of the shoulder pegs on my AP cracking, so over the weekend I tried to figure out a more sustainable fix. Said fix ended up being "remodel the shoulder joint, 3D print and reassemble the whole part." Not exactly low-effort but my girl is now good as new! 😄 And as a bonus I don't have to pay the twenty bucks (on top of the part price) it takes to ship the replacement chest pieces to my country.

BOSS move there! I never even thought of that. Thankfully no major broken bits but now I know I have an option with my printer!

I really recommend it, mine has been instrumental for doing mods and customs. The Bambu Labs A1 mini is a really good beginner printer and it goes on sale at intervals for less than $200 USD.

Recently I purchased my first Angel Philia! 

I really like her. I have modified a DDH to fit onto the neck peg. Soon I will buy a soldering pen to modify the DDH face ^^. I’m wondering about getting type C legs and maybe a type C lower torso too.

I want to buy an AP type I too, but it would be my last one until I decide I want another character.

Is that a SWS head with a Super Whitey body? The colour match doesn’t look too bad!

It’s Semi-White DDH with Whitey body ^^. Super Whitey always seems very white to me from pictures but I haven’t seen it IRL yet ^^. (Sorry I didn’t quote correctly😭)

I am sad because I got informed that my H body apparently is a preorder that will up to 8 months to be shipped.

Well, good thing I got that Pink Drops I body, there I at least only have to wait until April, but my boy probably has to hide is somewhat oversized clothing for now until he is getting "top surgery", hah. Unless I get another chest until then.

I did find this H2 chest on dollyteria and would definitely consider it for that prize, but I can't make head or tail of what "sunburn marks" are supposed to mean. Is that this one version with the tanning lines?

Yes, the shoulders are in Tan skin and the tan lines are in Super Whitey, so I don't think it would fit your boy unless he has Tan arms and Super Whitey torso (and for some reason you wanted only his arms and neck in Tan). You can see it clearly here.

Man, I hoped for a good deal, but I sort of had a hunch that it is that version, what a shame.

I love the tanlines body so much 😭 They have the hips too! Maybe I shouldn’t mention that… But I don’t have any project for that right now.

It’s been a hot minute but I got this cute MDD outfit and decided my AP girl needs it! The sleeves are short but everything else fits wonderfully. Bonus that it’s lined!

I see she downsized somewhere else too😆
